I woke the next morning to find the Kensingtons packing rapidly.  They were to leave for their cruise that night, and Will had told e he was going out later to rent some horror movies to watch.  I strolled into the now familiar kitchen, it had been 3 months ago that I had burned my first dinner in the oven.  I placed a cup under the coffee maker and let it fill while I began to grab plates from the cabinets and the waffle maker.

"Sorry you couldn't go to Europe with us."  Kristi entered the kitchen.

"Oh it's fine, it's best that Alec and I get some rest."  I told her as I began to mix the waffle batter.

"Then let me cook breakfast, you should go lay down and watch tv, or even read a book!"  Kristi exclaimed.  I shook my head.

"Sorry Kris, but I got this."  Kristi sighed and leaned against the counter.  Her plump pink lips formed a pout and she folded her thin arms closely to her chest.

"Fine."  I rolled my eyes playfully.  She shot up and began grabbing ingrediants from the cabinets.  I wondered if she had a boyfriend, and how many times someone had touched those lucious ballerina lips.  I made my way upstairs and bumped right into Alec who was rubbing his eyes.

"Oh hey."  He said groggily.  I smiled.

"Hey, your hands any better?"  I asked.

"Better, not the best though, and you?"  He sighed.  I cocked my head to the side.

"What you said."

He chuckled and straightened up when Mrs. Kensington came to the staircase with three matching Gucci suitcases.

"Oh, you two, we're leaving early, in about an hour actually.  And Ara, this is for all your hard work here."  She handed me a heavy box wrapped in silver paper and topped with a cerulean blue bow.

"Thanks."  I said.  Mrs. Kensington grinned and hurried away with her suitcases.

"Well..."

"Well What?"

"Open it!"  Alec said.  I tore off the paper to see a mac laptop box.

"Oh my gosh!"  I squealed.  This was a well-needed gift for researching my mother.

After going over the rules, The rest of the Kensingtons left to catch their plane.  Will, Alec and I stood in the doorway.

"So what now?"  Will asked boredly.

"You got the movies right?"  Alec asked.  Will nodded.  "Then put them on and set up the living room, Ara and I will make popcorn.

"Why can't Ara help me?!"  Will protested.  Before Alec could respond, I decided to come in.

"Why don't you two set up, I'll make the popcorn."  The two were silent for a moment, they knew they couldn't protest me.

"Whatever..."  Alec huffed and him and Will retreated to the tv room.

Once I was finished making the popcorn and pouring it into a giant bowl, I came into the living room to find the two brothers wrestling over spots on the couch.  I gave them both a glare and plopped down in the middle.

"So what are we watching!"

"Phyco!"  "No, Scream!"  They argued.  I sighed and grabbed Paranormal Activity 2 from the coffee table and slid it into the blu-ray player and took my seat back on the couch.

5 minutes into the movies, Alec draped his arm around mine and Will glared daggers at him.  I pretended not to notice and shoved and handful of popcorn in my mouth.

When the terrifying parts came, I cowered in Will's arms who gave Alec a smug look.  I think Will got a little scared himself so I decided to shuffle over to Alec who was sleeping but woke when my head touched his chest.

Something buzzed near my leg.  I opened my eyes and noticed the ending credits were on.  Both Alec and Will were awake, and Will didn't look too happy that I had fallen asleep on Alec.  Alec slipped his phone from his pocket.  Out of the corner of my eye I could make out the name form the text sender.  Olivia.

I was glad when Alec ignored her and slipped his phone away.  I yawned and sat up.

"Is it over?"  I asked.  Just as both boys began to answers, a crack of thunder and lightning lit the sky and made me cower beside Will.  Every light in the house turned off and left us in pitch blackness.

"Will?  Alec?"  I bnearly bellowed.

"Right here."  Alec called.  I felt his hand and took it.

"I think the power went out."  I heard Will say.  "Hold on."  He took out his phone and turned on the flashlight app.  Our faces were dimly lit and I released Alec's hand.

"We should grab some candles and sleep down here."  Alec suggested.  I was relieved when Will agreed since I was terrified.

We found some scented candles in the kitchen and lit them all around the living room.  Will grabbed some sleeping bags from the closet and laid them down on the floor.  I noticedthe middle one was closer to the right one.  I smirked and scooted it equally into the middle.

I waited for Alec to come back in and we all laid down in our sleeping bags.

"This is fun."  Will said.  I heard Alec chuckling.

"Goodnight."  I said and slipped under the covered.

"Night."

"Night."  Alec and Will replied.  I closed my eyes and slowly fell into a sweet, deep sleep.
