"I can't take this anymore..." Xiao cries out and looks at me with sad eyes.

"I don't want you seeing me like this, it's pathetic." He continues.

"Why are you crying?" I ask and he takes a small breath.

"It's because of my karmic debt, that's all. Sometimes it takes huge toll on my body. It's scary, I always have to lie and say it's not, because it'll make me look weak if I say it is." Xiao says and stops before continuing.

"Our brothers and sisters left us, I never got to meet my parents, and my old master I served treated me coldly. You're all I have left, if you leave me...I don't know what I'll do. Please never leave me, ever." He finishes and lets out a shaky breath.

"Come here Xiao, I'll try my best to comfort you." I say, extending my arms towards him and he complies, now in my embrace.

"I really appreciate this, and everything you do for me. I'm happy you're still here with me, and not leaving me all alone. You're always here for me when I need you the most in times like these." Xiao admits.

"I know I'm cold sometimes towards you, but I really don't mean it. I just don't want to get too attached after all of them went away. But I know that's not possible because..." Xiao says but then stops himself.

"Because what Xiao? What's wrong?" I ask and he looks away.

"Never mind, it's nothing." He says and closes his eyes while burying himself into my neck.

"Xiao please tell me, I know it's not nothing, it's something all right, and I wanna know, so please care to share on what you were going to say earlier?" I ask and he sighs.

"I know that I can't stop myself from being attached to you because I love...you. You're always nice to me in both good and bad times. I don't deserve you, you're so compassionate, caring, understanding, loving, kind and I'm just cold and rude." Xiao confesses and I shake my head.

"Xiao, you aren't cold and rude, you're kind, thoughtful, helpful, trustworthy, brave and oh, so much more. You're a miracle to this world, without you, many innocent and young souls would have died to so many monsters, but they didn't, wanna know why?" I look ask, looking down to meet his eyes.

"Why?" He replies.

"Because you were there to save them, you were the one who helped them, you defeated so many monsters, countless demons, and they're alive because of you. You've also saved me from submitting to my karmic debt. I love you too Xiao, so please don't think of yourself like this." I say and he smiles.

"I can look towards you for help when I'm scared like this, thank you. You've helped me so much as well with my karmic debt. It's nice to know someone is always there for you, no matter what." He says as he looks up at me.

"I know that no one will ever help me as much as you have. But can you...hold me tighter? I know it's very demanding of me but-" Xiao tries to finish but I tighten my grab around him and his smile widens.

"I love you very much, I don't really get the concept of love but I know that I do have very strong feelings for you. I will never forget this nor what you've done for me today." Xiao says.

"I will always be here for you, but it looks like you should get some rest after all, I don't want to be the cause of having you stay up after all you should be sleeping." I say and he looks down in sadness.

"Can you actually stay here with me? I want to go to bed knowing that I'm in your arms, safe and sound." Xiao says and nod.

"Of course, anything that'll make you happy, I'll comply. Now sleep soundly, know that no one is gonna hurt you and that you're safe here." I say, Xiao then put his head on my chest.

"Love you Xiao." I say and kiss his forehead and he went to sleep.

The next day

Xiao was still sleeping, but he deserved his break after all he has to battle monsters 24/7 with no break and especially since yesterday night, he more than deserves it.

"Morning Y/n! We need help with our commissions, and we found you so Paimon thought why not ask you to join us for today? After all you're a very strong Adeptus." Paimon says as she and Aether walk up to me.

"Sure, why not-" I try to say but was cut off.

"Actually Y/n, I need your help with something, right now." A voice says, the 3 of us turn around and see Xiao standing on the stairs.

"Oh if Xiao needs your help then it must be something serious." Aether says and Paimon nods.

"Ohhhhh, guess we'll have to do the commissions ourselves." Paimon groans and the 2 of them start walking away from Wangshu Inn's entrance.

"What did you need help with Xiao?" I ask as I start walking over to him.

"Nothing." He simply replies.

"Huh? Then why'd you stop me from leaving with Aether and Paimon? I'm sure you heard that they needed help with their commissions, so why'd you stop me?" I ask and he scoffs.

"Well obviously I wanted to repay you for last night. And tell you that you missed." Xiao says.

"I missed..? I don't under-" I try to say but was cut off by Xiao's lips.

"That's what I meant by you missed. Meet me here later today at the afternoon and I'll show you of what I mean of repayment. For now, I have to go somewhere. See you later." Xiao says and teleports away with a small yet noticeable smile.

'Xiao made the first move. Looks like I'm truly gay now.' I say with a smile and head out of Wangshu Inn.

To do my own commissions, daily battles, training, and other activities of the day.

'I wonder how he'll repay me...' I say as monster's appeared behind me.

"About time, now let's start your punishment!" I say with a smirk.
