The sun peeked over the horizon as the Special Forces helicopter descended onto the village. They landed in an open field as close to the village to as possible. It was still a good distance until they would be able to reach the castle.

The old dilapidated village looked as if centuries had completely passed by without anyone noticing. Broken wheel barrows filled with old hay, mangled fences and broken bricks from collapsed buildings lined the muddy dirt roads. With every turn, the more the homes looked unkempt, uncared for. Some of them were crumbling under their own weight.

Soon the group found themselves completely lost. Their current path blocked by rusted farm equipment. A tractor turned over on its side with no way around it. They had no map nor instructions from Redfield on where they were going and there was no signs they could see.

After turning back and walking for what seemed like an hour or two, came across an alleyway. The tree branches over hung the dirt road. From them hung severed goat heads, swaying in the breeze. It was also the first time there was a sign to send them in any direction. Two to be exact 'Graveyard' or 'Ceremony Site'.

"Which way?" asked Takeda. Jacqui shrugged in response.

"Depends on where you're going." An unfamiliar voice interrupted the conversation. At last, after such a long time and seeing absolutely no one, two villagers appeared out of nowhere. The voice came from a young, dark haired woman. The older man who accompanied her was cold and standoffish.

"My name is Elena. This is my father Leonardo. Where are you going?" she asked despite her father's obvious objections. The stern look and furrowed eyebrows spoke volumes. He scowled as he huffed under his breath "outsiders".

Cassie stepped forward towards Elena, an attempt to be more approachable as she looked completely out of place in her uniform. "We are headed to Castle Dimitrescu. How do we get there?"

"Why would you want to go to such a place? It's filled with nothing but blood and death." Elena exclaimed. "People who go there never return."

"I'm sure we can handle it." Jin interrupted.

Cassie rolled her eyes and tried to remain professional. "Can you please tell us how to get there?" she asked.

"THEIR OUTSIDERS ELENA!! BY THE BLACK GOD, THEY WILL BE NOTHING BUT TROUBLE FOR ALL OF US!" Leonardo growled at his daughter. He knew how well people, who were not from the village, were welcomed by the Lords that ruled over the village.

Especially their leader, Mother Miranda.

"Father, it will be alright." Elena said trying to calm him. Leonardo was afraid, and for good reason. For anyone who violated Mother Miranda's rules, death was sure to follow.

"Continue straight along this path. Take a left around the bend. Follow the stream until you reach a red gate. There you will find the village center." Elena paused to look back at her father, he had been unusually quiet for some reason.

Leonardo's face was covered in sweat from fear and concern. A murder of crows had gathered around them. He knew they were in danger. The prophet of the Black God was listening and watching. Knowing of the dire consequences that may fall upon his daughter and himself, he began pacing back and forth. Attempting to alert Elena to hurry.

"There will be a sign pointing you in the right direction. Go past the graveyard, enter the devils door." Elena looked around, cautious of the crows that had gathered around them. "We must go. Good luck on your journey."

With that, Elena and Leonardo walked past the stunned group. They watched in complete silence as the two disappeared out of sight. "The devils door?" Jacqui asked Cassie who was equally as perplexed.
