"Love finds you
in the most
unexpected ways."Pratha's POV:
I don't even know what's happening with my life anymore. Engaged to a guy who thinks of me as burden, with his mother trying to convince me to make him 'fall' for me and as if that wasn't enough, he was ignoring me on the day of our engagement.
A chuckle left my lips as I saw Rishabh, my fiance, laughing with Reem, the one he loves.
I looked away, and for what it felt like an eternity, he came to me, and offered me a drink with a gentle smile on his face.
"You should be thirsty. It's a non-alcoholic drink.. please drink it.", He said.
I obeyed. And after sometime he asked to drop me. Suspicious. My head felt heavy. I felt nauseous. Stopping the car in the middle and dragging me out, he threw me on a deserted road, harshly and drove away, ignoring my pleas.
I was left dumbfounded. How could he just-?
I got up with much difficulty, ignoring the wave of dizziness that arose in my body, as soon as I saw some weird looking men walking towards me.Their eyes fell me, and a sinister look flashed through their eyes.
"Ohh, look what a beauty we've got there!" One of them said, making the others laugh like a donkey.I started running, as I saw them making their way towards me. They didn't waste their time in chasing me. I was shit scared.
As if my sickness wasn't being a obstacle in my path, the lehenga I was wearing made it hard for me to run.
I ran and ran until I couldn't.I tripped on the stone which had unfortunately gone unnoticed by me but somehow managed to balance myself.
A flash of bright light blinded my vision, and I saw a guy riding a bike, making his way towards me.
I decided to ask him for help and foolishly stood in his way, in front of his bike.He stopped and before he could utter anything, I asked him for help. He looked confused, but as soon as I pointed towards the men following me and searcing for me, he gazed at me, with a determined look in his eyes. I looked away, feeling my condition worsening. Black dots appeared in my vision and my eyes stung and felt heavy.
"Ganpati Bappa, please save me.", Was the last thought in my mind before my eyes closed and I lost the control over my body.

Ronobir's POV:
Driving in night, on a deserted road, sure felt amazing. There was no one present, or at-least that's what I had thought, until I saw a girl, running and then getting in my way.
I stopped adruptly, startled at the sudden intrusion and looked towards her. Dressed in a pastel-pink lahenga, she would've looked beyond perfect if it wasn't for the scared look in her eyes. She couldn't even stand properly. She pointed towards something and I was filled with rage, as I understood the situation. Before I could say anything, she fainted and was about to fall but luckily I caught her in time.
I couldn't leave her there nor could I take her to my place because it would be hard to drive while her being unconscious. So, I picked her in my arms, carefully, so as not to hurt her and walked in the opposite direction, where I had spotted a motel.
Entering the place, I walked towards the reception, internally cringing at my surroundings, and asked her for a room.
Reaching the room and placing on her bed, I went towards couch, and closed my eyes, welcoming the sleep with happiness.

Pratha's POV:
I opened my eyes, sitting up, and cluchted my head, feeling the pain. Getting aware of my surroundings, I panicked.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty.", The man from the last night, said, entering the room.
Noticing the confused look in my eyes, he explained whatever went down last night.
A sudden admiration for the man sitting in front of me, arose in me and I thanked him.He asked me to freshen up and we left the motel. Walking towards his bike, he offered to drop me and I couldn't be more grateful to him.
~
My heart felt heavy as I tried to comprehend today's happenings.
Sitting in Ronobir's room, I felt guilty as the voice in my head reminded me of my mistake. As soon as we had entered the mansion, Rishabh and the whole family surrounded me and accused me, questioned my character, while casting pitiful glances at the man who betrayed me. I was called a characterless woman, and blamed for cheating on Rishabh with the guy who I just met last night.
It was his plan. He had spiked my drink.
My father also didn't believe me and Ronobir's presence with me dragged him into my problem.
And to that's how we got married.~
He didn't complain, the entire time. Instead, he took care of me and soon we became friends.
Living with him made me feel good, our daily talks, his childish whines and heartwarming smiles made my heart flutter. But, I couldn't be selfish now."I've gotten a job and we can file for divorce once I save some money. In this way, you can be free from me.", I said, as soon as he entered our room.
Ronobir's POV:
Her words hurt me. Was she not happy with me? Was I that bad that she couldn't even give this relation a chance?
My eyes darkened as I noticed her state. Her beautiful eyes casted downwards, her face contoured in pain as if saying those words hurt her.
Pinning her against the wall, I tilted her chin upwards and asked the reason behind her behaviour. She hesitated but when I glared at her, she started speaking.
"I know, I'm nothing but a burden to you. That's what I've always been since my birth. You don't have to sympathise with me and ruin your life because of me. You don't have to be in a relation, which was forced upon you-"
I cut her off in the middle by joining my forehead with her."Listen, Pratha and listen for good. Sympathy is the last thing I feel for you. All my life, I had no one to call my family as, but now when I've gotten some someone, as precious as you, to call as my own, I won't let you go away from me.
I like you. All of you. Your breathtaking smile, your cute reactions, the way you take care of me, the way your face brightens when you see your favourite food, your annoyed-pout, your eyes, and everything else.", I paused, feeling a lump forming in my throat."Have I ever made you feel like a burden?", I asked, pulling a bit away. It hurt to say that word.
She wasn't a burden for me but the most beautiful part of my life.
Her hand shot out to stop me from pulling away. Clutching the sleeves of my shirt, she looked at me and shook her head in 'no'.
Tears fell from her eyes as she stared up at me.
"I can't afford to lose you, Pratha. Please, don't leave me..never leave me.", I pleaded her.
My body stiffened in shock, as she flung her arms around my neck, hugging me with every ounce of strength in her body.
"I'm not leaving you. Sorry, for saying those words.", She mumbled, her face pressed against my chest.Wrapping my hands around her body, I pulled her close to me, as I felt her kissing my chest, right where my heart lay.
