Chapter 2 A brand new life?

    Malaika woke up to someone announcing that they were about to land so buckle up. She straighten up to pit her seat belt on, then waited until the plane landed.   As she was hero's off the plane, she realized that her mom's car was sitting right in front of the door.  When her mother saw her, she ran over to hug her daughter immediately. Mom: Oh, my baby girl is back home. We're going to have so much fun, there's a lot of things I want to show you.  Malaika just smiled at her mom and looked at her step dad, football player of the Baltimore ravens Ray Lewis. He hugged her and grabbed her bags, than put them in the truck of the van. Mom: We have a surprise for you at the house, we know you're going to love it. Malaika: Ok, this doesn't sound too good? Mom: Its fine, promise just get in the van and wait til we get there. She nodded to her mother and got in the backseat.       An hour later, she was asleep in the back with her mother shaking her to wake up. When she opened her eyes they were in front of a mansion with a circle driveway and stairs that lead up to the two Greenleaf wooden doors. Malaika: Holy shit! Who house are we at? Mom: We're at home for one and for two watch your mouth. Malaika: What? How did you even get this house, and still can pay the bills? Ray: Easy, two people in the house works.  Well, enough of that. Let's go inside.  They walked inside the house and it was beautiful and grand. There was a staircase that seemed endless. Malaika'just looked at the house and was stunned, it was so much bigger than the little apartment she was staying with her aunt and cousin.   Her mother went upstairs and came back down smiling like an idiot. Malaika: Why are you so happy?  Her mother just smiled, all of a sudden a dark skin boy with brown curly hair came running down the stairs. Malaika screamed and ran to her big brogher, Uquan, and hugged him as tight as she could. Uquan: Oh my god, my little sister is back home. I was so worried about you, you didn't call me or anything. Did something happen while you were there? Malaika: No, nothing happened, big bro. I just missed you so much.    Uquan kissed the top of her head and hugged her tighter if it was possible. Ray and their mom looker at them and smiled, watching the two hug each other like there's no tomorrow. Mom: Ok, now for some fun stuff!   Malaika just looked up at her brother and giggled at their mother, she just went with her mother ideas.      For hours they did anything that Malaika wanted to do and stuff they wanted to show her or take her to different places. They even took her to see Big Ben!!     After they got over their tour of london, they went back home. She went to her new room and then laid on her bed. When she laid down her phone rung, it was Laurel. Malaika: Hello?  Laurel: Hey, girl. What are you doing? Malaika: Nothing, it just I miss you already. I feel like it's going to be very different while I'm here. Laurel: I miss you too, right now I'm looking at our videos we made on YouTube. Its makes it feel like your still here. Malaika: I just got into the house with mom and dad, but it just doesn't feel right. Laurel: You Will be alright ok, I'll call you everyday and text you all the time. How does that sound? Malaika: Thats just great and I will always answer you, ok. Laurel: Well, I have to get ready for bed cause I got school in the morning. Malaika: Well, goodnight, I have to get ready to go to school or look for a job. Laurel: Why are you doing that at night for? Malaika: Its morning here,  Lo. We're on different sides of the world, remember? Laurel: Oh, yeah I forgot. I will text you when I get up, Love you. Malaika: Love you too, bye.  
       Malaika hung up the phone and wiped her cheeks of the tears that were rolling down them , she just sat up and looked in the mirror that was on her closet doors. She just looked at herself and frowned. Malaika: Why do I have to leave my friends nd family? I feel like this is going to be a very difficult stay.     She just looked at the doors again and turned her head to the side, curiously.  She got off the bed and walked across her room to her closet. The mirror was on both sides of the double doors. When she opened the doors a huge walking space was there to fill both There was a couch and another bed in there with with all her clothes and shoes, that barely covered half the space in the closet.  She laughed and ran to the bed in the closet then jumped on it. Her mom called her from downstairs, she got off the to get to her mother. Malaika: Hey, mom did you need me? Mom: Yea, can u get that bowl on the top of the cabinets. Malaika: Sure thing. She grabbed the bowl then it tipped over onto the floor.  Uquan jumped out from the dinning room. Uquan: What happen to the joke? Malaika: You are so dead!!!  She tried to grab him but Ray held her back, she look at him then turned around. Malaika: Where you come from? Ray: I was in the living room hiding. Mom: Oh stop trying to prank your sister. Get me the big bowl on the top of the fridge. Uquan reached on the fridge and got the bowl but it fell on his head with flour and eggs in it. Malaika started laughing as her mom and dad just looked stunned and curious. Uquan: You are so mean, Malaika. Malaika: Karma is a witch, isn't it? Love you.  She walked out the kitchen still laughing.                 Later that day, she was getting ready to go to bed. Laurel just got off the phone with her and they were doing opposite things. When Malaika finally got to bed it was late in the night. That night she had a dream about a brand new life.
