i should not be left to my own devices

𝐈t was after class when Yoo Eun had them gathered in the meeting room with everybody else from each year. There were Soo-ah, Jihyo, and then Chaewon, and Mirae. The latter wasn't really planning to wait the tables, but after hearing that Chaewon had agreed━she reluctantly changed her mind. The thought of the girl being there comforted her more than she thought. Chaewon just had that effect on people.

Everybody greeted each other, Chaewon being the last one to enter the room with a tight-lipped smile on her face. Almost like she didn't want to be there in the first place. However, her eyes landed on one person in the room, standing in front of the other students around the table. Woo-young smiled slightly at the sight of her although she didn't seem to notice at all.

"Keep up the good work." He sent a nod at the group. The seniors and juniors bid the TA farewells as he left them, briefly exchanging eye contact with Chaewon who didn't react.

"Gosh, the room brightened up as soon as you guys entered."

Jihyo tucked a piece of non-existent hair behind her ear, beaming at the seniors. "Thank you."

Chaewon exchanged a meaningful glance with Eun, who could only smile forcefully at the others in an attempt to be respectful.

"Their names are Chaewon, Mirae, Soo-ah, and Jihyo," Go Yena introduced them. She looked at the girl beside her, the one with a cheeky smile on her face. "You met Eun before, right?"

"Oh, yes. Hello," Kim Tae-hee greeted politely. "You guys should sit down."

The last one to enter the room was an unfamiliar girl with pixie short hair with a permanent frown on her face as she went to the other table, ignoring her fellow students' eyes. The guys even had the nerve to tease her, saying she flunked her class just to come to their meeting. She remained unbothered though, which made Chaewon like her.

They all introduced themselves. There was the head of the junior year, Jo Jung-yeob. Kwon Yoonbyul, the last person to arrive, was the head of the sophomore year. A few other familiar faces like, Go Yena, So Jungho, and of course, there was also Yoo Eun. The freshman year's representative.

"She was a girl?" Jihyo whispered, which honestly wasn't much of a whisper as everyone heard it as clear as day, which earned a bunch of laughter from the guys. She acted like she was embarrassed after, placing a hand to cover her mouth.

"You guys all thought she was a guy, right?" So Jungho laughed obnoxiously. He looked at the sophomore girl who sat behind them. "See? Everyone who sees you for the first time thinks of you as a guy."

Chaewon rolled her eyes. She was glad the guy next to him continued with the whole introducing thing because she was about to spring up from her seat and clock him in the face for being so judgemental.

She also thought he would stop there. But no, the men just couldn't keep their mouths shut. There was another sophomore who introduced herself as Kim Taehee. Annoyingly, one of them decided fat-shaming was something so funny when it really wasn't. None of the girls laughed, and Eun had to put a hand on her leg to stop her from launching at them.

"By the way, you guys must feel great. You got picked as the prettiest girls in the first years."

"Sorry?" Soo-ah said innocently, acting like she didn't know what he was talking about. She and Jihyo were suddenly acting so coy and all.
