You drop the last box onto the floor with a heavy thud. You had technically moved into your shared house last month, but much of your luggage had been delayed due to weather conditions. Thankfully your roommate was happy to help you when it arrived.

"Thanks for the help, Nami," You mentioned as the redhead placed down the bags she carried in next to your bed.

"Anytime!" He smiles happily before laying back on the bed. She digs her phone out of her shorts and begins texting someone right away. You assumed it was Sanji, the man blowing up her phone with love letters every second of the day.

"You got any plans for the weekend?" You ask to try and spark up a conversation. Nami simply shrugs, sitting up and tossing her phone onto the bed.

"I'll probably just head to Shank's bar with the crew." She watches as you begin to unpack clothes and knickknacks in your bedroom. "You know, you're more than welcome to come to meet them."

"Ah," You mutter. "Nah, I think I'll invite over Marco and Thatch."

"Why do you hang out with those hard-asses?"

"They aren't that bad," You laugh while throwing out the empty bag you finished unpacking. "Besides, your friends wouldn't like me from what I've heard. I'm too quiet."

"The only one who would mind that is Luffy," She mumbles. "Everyone would love you!" She gets up and comes to you, hugging you tightly from behind. "I know I do!" You roll your eyes and pat your best friend's arms as they hang around your neck.

"Yeah, I love you too, Nami," You half-heartedly replied. She pouted in the full-length mirror you stood in front of before waking back towards the middle of the room.

"Oh come on," She whines with her arms crossed. You don't respond and just keep unpacking silently. She groans in frustration before giving up and diving back onto the bed. You can hear the FaceTime tone ringing, but you tried your best to ignore it.

"Hello?" A female answers sternly.

"Robin, Reader won't go with us to the bar tonight," She complains. The woman- Robin- chuckles lightly through the phone.

"If they don't want to come they don't have to."

"Don't defend her!" Nami screeches with utter betrayal. You try to hide your snicker, refusing to let her know you were listening. "She's just always refusing to come out with us. She thinks you guys would hate her."

"Well, the only person in the group that would hate her would be Zoro," Robin admits. "You know how much he keeps to himself."

"He's not a bad guy!" Nami defends. "He just... He's rough around the edges." There's a long pause. "Really rough."

"All I'm saying is to not force her into anything she doesn't want to do." Nami groaned, saying goodbye to Robin and hanging up. You could feel her eyes glaring into your soul from the back, but you refused to allow any type of bullying.

"You're annoying," She playfully whines. "Just come to the bar and meet them and then you can leave. I promise!" You throw your head back in a loud groan, a picture frame of your parents and younger sibling resting in your hand.

"If I meet them will you shut up?" You question, spinning in annoyance to face your roommate. Nami immediately sits up and nods her head furiously. You thought if she did it any longer she'd go dizzy. "Fine. I'll go. Don't expect much from me." It was as if she ignored your last words, squealing and clapping excitedly.

"I can't wait to show you off to them!" She kicks her feet with a giddy noise to follow and you couldn't help the smile forming as you watched her. No friend has ever been this excited about showing you their other friends, let alone showing them you. The thought of how much love that shows made you smile at her.
