"Hello."

It always starts with a hello. Before you fall in love with someone, they always start with hello. And unfortunately for me, I happened to be upside down when this adorable kid said that fateful word.

"H...Hi..."

I was extremely shy and antisocial, and simply bad with people in every way. I tried to turn my head away so he wouldn't see me blush, but I slipped off the bar I was hanging on and landed on my head. I crumpled and stars swam across the sky.

"Oh God are you okay?"

Hands, only two of them, tried to help me up. Still dazed, I fell into the angel's chest and he wrapped his arms around me. I could tell by the way he tried to keep me up that he was worried...

"I'm taking you to the campus nurse. You might have a concussion...oh dear god...please don't sue me..."

The angelic being wrapped a gentle arm around my waist and draped my arm over his shoulder. He half walked half dragged me back to the main campus building. We weren't making much progress and it hurt a lot, so he just slung me up onto his shoulders. He lay me gently on the bed in the Health Room and stood at the foot, his eyebrow raised.

"You're too skinny."

At 5'5, 60lbs., yeah I was a bit skinny. But I couldn't help it......

The nurse walked in and jumped at us. She started questioning my angel about what happened and the walked out to go get an ice pack for my skull.

"Why are you so skinny?" He asked again.

"I'm.....I'm....bu"

The nurse walked in I cut off mid-sentence. It's not like I wanted to finish it anyway.....what was I thinking?! I don't even know this kid's name and I'm telling him my secrets? Must be the head trauma....

The boy took the pack from the nurse and set it gently on my forehead, pulling a chair next to the bed and stroking my hair.

"I'm sorry I made you fall." He talked so sweetly, so gently, it made me uneasy. I wasn't used to anybody caring about me in the slightest, and here was a complete stranger petting my hair.

"Who are you?" I had to ask, it was getting awkward just mentally calling him an "angel".

"Kellin....Quinn....at your service."

The nurse came by one last time, with a handful of pills and a glass of water.

"Here, take these, they'll help with the pain."

Seeing the pills made my heart rate speed up and I got nervous, but I tried to not accidentally give myself away. I took them like I was supposed to and leaned back.

"The good news is, she doesn't have a concussion. Just gonna have a really, really bad bruise tomorrow. I gave her a mild anaesthesia, and it's alright if she falls asleep, but she shouldn't really be left alone. I have her dorm number, would it be too much to ask you to...." The nurse left off, raising her eyebrows inquisitively at Kellin. I noticed that everything was starting to go a little fuzzy around the edges and it was getting harder to think or hear....

"I'll take her back, no problem."

He again gave me a piggyback ride, only this time being a little bit more careful because I was only half conscious. We reached my dorm door and I fumbled to get my key out. Finally I got it out of my pocket and dropped it, unable to keep hold of anything. Kellin had one arm around me that was keeping me up and he got the door unlocked, then picked me up again and set me on my bed. I had my own room because no one wanted to share with me. He tucked me in carefully and perched on the other empty bed, watching me intently as I started to drift off.

Kellin.....Kellin......
