His body ached, blood dripping from the many wounds he received from his last encounter with Dodoria. But that didn't matter to Bardock; what mattered was stopping Frieza from destroying his planet. All the while, he struggled to make his way up the steps of the tower. To hell with the others who refused to believe him, they could die for all he cared. To hell with the rigid classist system of Planet Vegeta, and to hell with all the "Elites". Bardock will be the one to stop this; he'll be the one to change the future.

Upon making it up to the very top of the tower, Bardock placed his hands upon the railing, taking deep gulps of air. Looking up into the red sky, past the two suns of Planet Vegeta, he could faintly make out the sight of Frieza's flagship coming into orbit.

Panic and rage coursed through his body. Clenching both fists, he decided that it was now or never.

"I-I don't care.. what the visions say...!"

Looking back up into the sky with a new sense of resolve, he knelt down: "I-I... I WILL CHANGE THE FUTURE!"

Bardock then launched himself up into the sky. Meanwhile, Frieza stood silently, looking outside a large rounded window of Planet Vegeta below him. Both his subordinates, Zarbon and Dodoria stood behind him. Beside him, was a smaller floating pod, holding a small infant. The child was a member of the Frost clan.

"Ah, Planet Vegeta. This shall be the last time I gaze upon this planet," Frieza spoke quietly before turning to the child beside him. "One day my son, you too shall be by my side, conquering the the universe; and ridding the universe of our enemies."

Suddenly, a soldier ran into his chambers.

"L-Lord Frieza! An enemy approaches!"

Back outside the ship, Bardock was closing in on the large flagship before him. When suddenly, he noticed many of the Frieza force emerging from the ship and charging towards him. Many of them bellowing intimidating battle cries. With a scowl, Bardock quickened his pace, letting out his own battle cry.

"FRIEZAAAA!!"

The soldiers fired Ki blasts towards the charging Saiyan, only for Bardock to ram himself into one of Frieza's soldiers, snapping their neck. Despite his injuries, he put up a decent fight, taking out as many soldiers as he possibly could.

"W-Who is this guy?!" Cried one of the soldiers. "How the hell can he even fight?!"

Charging a Ki blast, Bardock yelled: "There's nothing you bastards can do to stop me! I'm not done yet...! I won't go down, not without a fight!"

From within his chamber, the galactic tyrant viewed the battle from the safety of his ship. Arms crossed, he watched Bardock fight ferociously below. In some sense, he respected his tenacity in the face of death. Still, he had a job to do, and he would see it done.

'If you want a job done, then do it yourself.'

Eyes still glued to the window, he spoke out: "Zarbon?"
