Disclaimer: Is short

It was nighttime in the Rainbow Kingdom, and Zee was lying in bed, while his parents were sitting on the side, wishing him a goodnight.

"OK, all nice and warm Zeester?" asked Zed

"Yep!" said Zee

"All snug as a bug in a rug?" asked Zen

"Hehe yep!" said Zee

"Alright then. Goodnight. We love you." said Zen

"I love you too. Goodnight mom, goodnight dad." said Zee

Zen kissed Zee's forehead, and Zed ruffled his hair. Then, they walked away to go to bed themselves.

Zee layed on his side, with his eyes slowly closing. Eventually, he fell asleep.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Zee suddenly found himself standing at the foot of the Wishing Tree, except it was on fire! Many vines hat fallen down, exposing the tree a bit.

"No. NO!" Zee yelled. He rushed up into the tree.

The smoke made him cough and choke. He pulled the top of his robe over his mouth and nose so he could breath.

Then he saw a horrific sight. All the wishes were dead on the floor and were burning. Zee was stunned. Then he remembered.

"MOM!? DAD!?" Zee asked, frantically looking all around for them.

However, he couldn't see them anywhere.

"MOM, DAD, WHERE ARE YOU!?" Zee asked into the fire.

Again there was no answer.

With his mouth covered, he continued looking and calling out for his parents, but they weren't there.

Zee's eyes were watering, caused both by crying and by the fire irritating his eyes.

"MOM, DAD, PLEASE!" Zee pleaded

Zee dropped to the ground, sobbing. As he opened his eyes one final time, he saw the fire quickly surrounding him. All he could do was breath heavily with fear as the fire surrounded him. Just as the fire was about to reach him, he closed his teary eyes.

Then he woke up.
--------------------------------------------------------‐------

Zee shot awake. He sat up and looked around. Tears formed in his eyes as the memories flooded back to him.

"MOM, DAD!?  MOM, DAD, ARE YOU THERE!? MOM, DAD!!" Zee called out desperately, with tears in his eyes

Zed and Zen quickly rushed to Zee's side, then sat on his bed.

"Zee? What's the matter buddy?" asked Zed

"What happened sweetie?" asked Zen

Zee began heavily sobbing. Zed hugged him while also picking him up and putting him in his lap. As Zee cried into his shoulder, Zed cradled his son in his arms.

"The tree was on fire. I called for you and mom but you weren't there! The fire began to surround me, then, then..." Zee explained tearfully

"Ssssssssh, it's ok buddy. It wasn't real. It was just a bad dream. We're here now." Zed said, running his hand up and down Zee's back.

"Yes. Me and dad are right here, and we're not going anywhere." said Zen running her hand through Zee's violet hair.

Zee continued crying heavily.

"Ssssh, it's alright Zee. Dad's got ya." said Zed

"I was so scared dad. I thought that I'd never see you and mom again!" said Zee as he cried

"I know buddy, I know. But like I said, we're right here, and we're not going anywhere." said Zed

Zee eventually stopped crying, and sat up, sniffing.

"Here sweetie, blow." Zen said, holding a tissue to Zee's nose. He blew hard.

"Theere we go. Is that better?" asked Zen

"Yeah." said Zee

"Come on. Let's go get you a nice cool drink, ok?" said Zen

"Ok mom." said Zee

They all got up and went to the kitchen. When they got there, Zen opened the fridge.

"Ok, want some juice?" asked Zen

"Yes please." said Zee

"Alright then. Nummie Berry juice coming right up!"

Zen pulled a carton out of the fridge and poured some juice into a glass cup. She then handed it to Zee, who quickly gulped it up, ending with a resounding "ah".

"Thanks mom." said Zee

"You're welcome sweetie." said Zen

"Hey, uh, mom?" Zee asked

"Mhm?" Zen responded

"Could...could I sleep with you and dad tonight please?"

"Of course you can. Right honey?"

"Yep. You can sleep with us anytime." said Zed

"Thanks" said Zee

Zee yawned loudly.

"Looks like we better get to bed." said Zen

"Yeah, let's go." said Zed

They all went and got in Zed and Zen's bed, with Zed on the left, Zee in the middle, and Zen on the right. They were all staring up at the "ceiling".

"Uuh, mom, dad?" Zee asked

"Yeah bud?" said Zed

"Can you turn on, like, a night light?"

"Sure thing Zee. Hold on." said Zen

Zen sat up, then looked through her bedside drawer and pulled out a small, clear, plastic rose shaped light, then she got up and plugged it in on the other side of the room, then used its switch to turn it on. Afterwards she went and got back in bed.

"There, is that better?" asked Zen

"Yes. Thanks mom." said Zee

"You're welcome Zee." said Zen

Zee soon fell asleep happily, knowing that his parents weren't going anywhere and would never leave him.
