Once upon a time in a land far far away, there lived a little girl called Starla. Scarla lived a lonely life, for she lived on a remote island with almost no other inhabitants. The few who did live there weren't very fond of her. Starla liked that though as being alone was no bother to her, but she would still walk along the beach at night asking the moon to get rid of the pain and hollowness in her heart. Finally, one night that wish was answered.
Starla sat on the beach as always, sand in her hair. She looked to the moon once again, asking the same question as she did every night. Suddenly there was a rustle from behind her. She turned around to find a pale boy walking towards her, his skin seeming to glow under the moonlight. She looked at him confused; Starla didn't understand how the moon thought he was supposed to help. But the boy sat next to her and said; my name is Caspian, why are you sitting here all alone?
Starla sat there for hours talking to Caspian, everything seeming so easy to talk about with him. Eventually they laid there in silence just looking at the stars. Caspiar began telling his own stories. He told about how his mom always scolded him for spilling at dinner, how he always tripped on that one specific root in his backyard and even about how the stars talked to him sometimes.
The sun began rising at last and Starla finally realized she didn't want to be alone for once. It was a very different kind of pain in her chest this time and she turned to Caspian. She finally whispered something very fast, Caspian looked at her, raising his eyebrow. She rebegan the sentence; 'Can I stay with you for a while longer? Please?' She looked at him a bit embarrassed, but he simply pulled her to his chest and said; 'Sure, that's what friends are for'
Starla let her eyelids close, those words still filling her thoughts. For once, her chest felt warm and full.
