Sunday rolls around, and Mark and Jon are up at the school, only to realize, Jon had left his phone in his grandma's car. Jon and mark loaded their instrument on the bus, and went back into the band room. Jon nervously went up to crash and said, "H- hi," Crash looked confused. "What?" He said. "Can I use your phone to call my grandma, I left my phone in her car?" He said nervously.
"So you're saying you can't be a day without your phone?" He said smiling. "Not that, I'm supposed to call my grandma when we get back," Jon stated. Crash pulled out his phone and dialed her number. He handed Jon his phone, and continued taking attendance. Jon walked away from the desk.
His grandma didn't answer the first two times, but he got a hold of her the third time. Once he got off the phone, Jon and mark went outside and waited for his grandma. "Alright everybody, lets get on the bus," Crash yelled from the door. Jon's heart dropped.
They got on the bus, and sadly, mark and Jon didn't get to sit in the same seat. They were across from each other though. As Jon was talking to mark, Jon's grandma pulled up.
"You choose the slowest person," Mark said, as Jon hopped out the back of the bus. Jon smiled, and skipped up to his grandma. Once Jon got on the bus, Crash took attendance, and they were off. First destination, McDonalds.
"Those workers probably think Crash adopted a whole bunch of kids," Jon laughed. Mark snickered. Jon glanced at Crash to see him ordering his food on the big screen. Mark and Jon gave questionable looks. "I have to order my stuff fast," He said. They were silent. "I can't eat and drive," He laughed.
"I mean ya can," Mark stated. Crash playfully rolled his eyes and continued with his order. Once everyone was finished ordering, they all sat together and ate.
"Alright gang, lets start heading that way," He said getting up. Mark and Jon hadn't finished eating yet, so they took their food on the bus.
Fast forward about an hour, and they were there. Jon started getting a little nervous. "Is it scary?" He asked another person who had already been.
"No," the person replied. Once they all got signed in, they were off to.... where ever they were going. Mark and Jon followed down the hall way until they saw a sign that said, "Woodwind and saxophones." Once they got in there, Jon's anxiety flew to the roof.
It was so small, and crowded with people he didn't know. It felt as if everyone was staring. Once Mark and Jon got to the counter, they started putting their interment together. As Jon was trying to put on his mouth piece, he almost bumped into someone. His heart started to race.
"Sorry," He whispered. "You're good," He said back. Jon froze. He didn't mean for him to actually hear him! He finally finished, and hurried out of the room. Once they got settled in their... "Class," They were talking to a few people, they the teacher came in.
They all got seated and tuned their instruments. Jon was excited, but little did he know, this was gonna be some of the most BORING hours of his life.
