Chapter 6

Piper's P.O.V

The red haired girl came in, pushing through people. I looked around in panic. No exit besides the one that the human flag was guarding. Suddenly fire alarms blared around me and I knew that it was Leo.

"Stop." I charmspoke. Everyone but the red head froze. Strange, maybe it doesn't affect her. She headed towards me quickly. Then I ran. I ran towards the door where human flag was frozen.

"Move." I commanded and he moved without objections. I jumped out of the door as the charmspeak wore off.

"What just happened?" Flag guy asked in confusion.

"Get her!" Red shrieked. I saw the same red white and blue shield come flying at me. I tried to dodge but it still hit my hip. With a small cry I fell to the floor. I than heard an earth shattering roar and saw the two people look at each other worriedly. I stood up and tried to run but was interrupted by a loud gunshot. I froze as something hit my leg, slicing through the flesh. With a pained cry I fell to the ground as my leg collapsed beneath me. I glanced at it and saw a coin shaped wound in my calf. Blood was pouring from it.

"Ohmygod!Ididn'tmeantodothat!Ohmygodohmygodohmygod! Ijustshotakid!" Red shrieked. Flag guy started walking towards me, shield in hand.

"Come with us. We won't hurt you. We'll get you fixed right up." He said calmly.

"Stop." I charmspoke him. He froze suddenly. Then I pointed to Red. "Fight her." He turned quickly and aimed his shield at Red. She frowned in confusion.

"Steve?" She asked. "What are you doing?"

"I-I don't know." He said and threw his shield at her. She ducked underneath it and backed away. Steve, I think, threw a punch at her.

"Stop. Control yourself!" Red commanded him, blocking his blows.

"I-I can't. I'm not in control of my body!" He shouted frustratedly, trading blows with Red. The ground started cracking and shaking. I knew what it was. It was an earthquake, probably caused by Percy. I used the distraction to run-well limp away from the fighting people.
