Chapter 10: Flame-Mane vs. Dragon Force

The light had faded away and Delta stood there, his body now transformed and his power surging.

Dehya: So, I'm assuming that this is your Dragon Force? But, it doesn't feel like Sting or Rogue's. This is something completely different then right?

Delta: You're correct. This is Dragon Force, but something different all together.

Dehya: I suppose you don't mind explaining?

Delta: Fine. The Dragon Slayers are right when they say that I'm one of them, but they're also incorrect at the same time. I use Oblivion Ether-Gear, a magic that was created from Dragon-Slayer magic. You could say it's a different variant of the original, but it's not Slayer magic. Ether-Gear let's me channel magic throughout my entire body and use it to power up or launch magic blasts as you've witnessed. My mother also taught me how to use this power and combine it with something that I'm not willing to say yet in order to use this form.

Dehya: Interesting. Well in that case, you don't mind if I explain what my Flame-Mane mode does? It's only fair y'know.

Delta: Go on.

Dehya: Flame-Mane mode increases my physical prowess and fire-based attacks by 40%. The only drawback that I haven't found a solution to is the fact that it eats up my magic reserves at a extremely fast rate. I've only got 5 minutes in this form before I'm out of magic.

Delta: Then let's stop talking and get to fighting.

With that being said, Delta starts running towards Dehya. His body started to glow a bit before he created about 9 clones of himself that were charging towards Dehya, who breathed a stream of flames that mowed down all the clones and created a smoke cloud. Delta emerged from the smoke and fired off his Air Slash, which was countered when Dehya created claws made of fire and cut through them. However, she didn't realize that this was a distraction as Delta had lunged forward with his arms covered with the red markings. She quickly caught sight of him and attacked with her flame claws and managed to send him flying. She then leaped up and used another breath attack. It was Delta's turn to counter because he used his Oblivion Claw to block and then cut through the flames. Dehya quickly launched another attack called Blast Burn, which she created an eruption from underground and it headed towards Delta. He countered by slamming his magic-powered fist into the ground, sending a shockwave through the ground that countered Dehya's attack. Thinking quickly, Delta rushed through the smoke and landed a powerful punch to Dehya's stomach and then jumped up and axe kicked her into the ground.

Chapati: I've never seen a match this intense! These two are giving it their all for the sake of their respective guilds!

Dehya then slowly began to get back up. As she got up, Delta's body pain suddenly intensified as he started to cough up blood and fell over, alerting the members of Fairy Tail, Beidou, Ningguang, Olivia and Ultear, who was watching the match from her magic orb.
