Ring...Ring...Ring
"Fuck off stupid alarm" I droozily state while waking up
Slowly rising out of bed I check my phone. Forgetting what time I set my alarm for. 8:30. I rush around getting dressed. I grab my black jeans,white t-shirt and tan denim jacket before heading down stairs
"Quintin what was all that banging for" My mom asks from the kitchen
"Shit I've got 45 mins to get into college and have my outfit presentation prepared" I respond while running passed her
I hop on my bike and pedal as quick as I possibly can. Twenty minutes later I get into the campus. I run straight to the design lab to set up for my presentation.
I prepare my mannequin and outfit just before going over my presentation notes when my professor walks in.
"Mr Reed what are you doing here." She asks
"Professor Kennedy I'm so sorry for the fright. I'm preparing my presentation. I'm supposed to be going first" I explain
" Quintin you've been excused from the presentation today. The principal would like you to do the orientation tour today. So you'll present tomorrow" She tells me before giving me the tour pack
"Oh quickly before you go. You'll be doing the tour with Ryder Blake" She adds while I'm leaving the room
I slowly start walking towards the office when I feel someone's hand on my shoulder. Turning around I see that it's Ryder.
"Hi Quintin. So do you want to take the lead on the tour or shall I" He asks
" I'll take the lead." I respond while blushing
" Okay this will be fun. I heard your sister us in this years group of orientation students" Ryder says before dragging me to the office for some reason.
We finally get to the office when I see the group. Getting everyone's name and making sure I had the right number we head out for the tour.
" Quick question. What is the history of this college" one of the students asked
"Well that's a good question. The founder Marylin Warner opened this college in the 1980s to allow students who wanted to persue the arts a fullfilled and accessible education.However at the time citizens in the town despised her for this and tried to shut the school. Luckily they were unsuccessful as the school is still here 40 years later." I explain
After an hour of questions we finally get to the end of our tour.
" So that's it for our tour" Ryder states before sitting down on a stool.
" Just before you go, if you go to the office they can provide you with an information guide on the courses we do and how to apply next year" I tell them while guiding them out the door
"Hey before we head out I have a question." Ryder tells me
"Ask away" I respond
"Are you auditioning in this years winter musical" Ryder questions
"No. Are you" I respond
" Yeah it's requirement for all actors to audition at least once or twice throughout the course. I'm auditioning for the male lead. I mean it's an mlm musical so" He says before passing me a script
"I'll think about it. It's more likely I'll lead the costume team though" I say before leaving the room
"Hope to see you at rehearsals " I hear ryder shout before going round the corner
