IT'D BEEN A WEEK SINCE ELEANOR HAD BEEN AT SCHOOL, it was her first day back, and she knew it'd be heard with all the stairs and the many fake people, acting like they care. "If you need me to pick you up, let me know." Eleanor's mother gave a soft smile, tilting her head as she pushed a few pieces of Eleanor's hair behind her ear.

"I will." Eleanor mumbled with her tired, raspy voice. As she opened the door, many kids looked over, whispering to each other about what was going on. Eleanor kept her head down, hugging herself as she walked to the front doors of the school. She entered the school, already walking towards her locker.

Opening the door, before looking over to see Finney and Gwen both bickering about something, she gave a concerned look, still trying to grab her books. Once she closed her locker, she walked over, "Hey... what's going on? Wait..." Eleanor analyzed their faces, seeing they had scars and bruises that were starting to heal. "What happened?" Eleanor asked, feeling her face soften.

"Nothing, how are you doing, Ellie?" Gwen quick let changed the subject, going in to give Eleanor a hug. "I'm fine... what happened?" Eleanor changed it back to the original subject. "Nothing!" Gwen exclaimed. Eleanor gave her a pointed look before glaring at Finney, "Finn..." Eleanor said, using a warning tone.

"Some kids jumped us, she tried to help but got hit... they're targeting us because Robin's gone." Finney rambled, giving a look. Eleanor sighed, walking over to give Finney a tight hug. "Damn! I've seen you've moved on from Robin already, huh?" The annoying voice chimed in. "Shut the hell up, Denise!" Eleanor pulled away from Finney, giving him a sympathetic look before turning back to Denise.

"Unlike you, I actually care about Robin... I mean, shit, you probably were the reason for him getting kidnapped." Eleanor's face dropped, rethinking her words and realizing that it was her fault... he'd been at her house before his disappearance. "Fuck you." Eleanor shoved Denise as she walked past, feeling her cheeks turn red in embarrassment, feeling her heart start to beat faster, and her chest becoming tighter.

She needed to be alone... she knew that any second, she'd burst into tears and would start to hyperventilate. She wasn't sure what it was called but Robin was always there when it happened to her, calling it a "panic attack." She missed him, missed his smell, his hugs, his kisses, his comforting words, his voice, everything.

_______

Eleanor sat on her bedroom floor, feeling her chest tighten for a second time today. She tried to suck in a breath, but nothing... she tried and tried but panicked, having a hard time with her overwhelming emotions. She was alone. And she had no one to tell about these emotions or new things occurring, because Robin was the first and only to truly get to know her.

He was her first everything, first boyfriend (+ fake boyfriend), first crush, kiss, hug from a boy, first person to listen to her and the one to hold her while she cried. She missed the genuine smile he had when they talked about something, she missed shit talking with him at lunch for no reason, she missed his laugh, and comforting voice.
