It has been days since Cedrick and Belldandy met each other. Belldandy kept her promise of being Cedrick’s friend. During lunch, Cedrick was always seen with this 16 year old girl (looks like but she’s over thousands of years old). Belldandy told everyone she was his sister. And the other people just nodded their head and would say “Hmmm… I did not notice the resemblance.”
Sometimes, high school students looked at Belldandy and tried to flirt with her. They wanted to know her just because she is beautiful. She just smiled and talked to them for a bit but did not get herself involved too with them, although some teenagers bragged that Belldandy answered them even though she only talked to some of them for 5 minutes.
During dismissal time, Belldandy would stick around Cedrick while he waited for the schoolbus. She wanted to follow Cedrick into the schoolbus but she was not allowed to enter because the school bus’ seats are just enough for all those other students.
One day, back in the heavens, Belldandy decided to take a look at Cedrick’s life in the schoolbus and at home.
Lo and behold… she felt the aura of evil Cedrick wields going back again and getting stronger. For those people in the bus, younger and older, continuously belittle him and call him names.
Belldandy got more curious and peered deeper and deeper into the innermost depths of the soul of Cedrick.
She saw it all…
She saw the evil Brood Knight within Cedrick’s soul trying to break free. The Brood Knight trying to destroy the “barrier” she created when she showered Cedrick with love the first time they met.
This Brood Knight little by little forming cracks on the barrier using all the hate in Cedrick’s heart as an energy source.
“Where is all this hate coming from?” Belldandy asked herself. Then she tried to investigate the Brood Knight. She was shocked with what she discovered.
Whenever Cedrick gets bullied around and rejected, hate builds up in his heart. Cedrick starts to hate everything and everybody. As the hate goes to the “next level” Cedrick thinks of destroying the world and each and everything that lives. The Brood Knight trying to break loose, convincing Cedrick that everything on Earth is trash, that all the humans are evil and that they deserve to be destroyed. Cedrick’s hate continues to build up… The Brood Knight within him feeding on that hate… getting stronger and stronger… The Brood Knight trying to be one with Cedrick.
“Oh dear… this is terrible!” thought Belldandy. “If Cedrick’s hate builds up, the Brood Knight will be unleashed… and then… that is going to be the end of humanity… That is going to be the end for the world which I also love dearly. I must… I must double my efforts to sow the seeds of love in Cedrick’s heart. If I put enough love, that would probably poison that Brood Knight that feeds on hate… and once I neutralize that Brood Knight, everything would be back to normal. I would be saving the earth and Cedrick at the same time. I must act now!”
