Emma was surprised to find an odd looking cookie recipe in the recipe box.
'Paolo, what is this? I've never seen this before.' She asked.
'That, is an old family recipe. Passed down from generation after generation. It's usually kept secret, but I figured you would like to learn it.' He replied.
'Well, okay. This certainly looks like it could be interesting.'
3 burnt cookie batches, a lot of yelling, and even a bit of swearing later:
'Marvelous job on the cookies, my love! Did you enjoy making them?' Paolo asked.
'Uh, to tell the truth, I didn't. In fact, I wanted to give up several times, but I kept trying!' Emma replied.
'Oh, well that's understandable. I tried 4 times to make that recipe, and even I couldn't make it come out right!'
'How about we just stick to making simpler recipes from now on?'
'Good idea!'
