Riko finds NULL on a regular day, at a random time on her tablet. It says "Hellooo!" Riko shocked, thinking she knows who NULL is, says "Hey, aren't you the person who caused 3 missing people?!" She asks, and it replies "Yup! I'm the one behind that mess! And you're my new target!" Riko doesn't really know what to say. The person behind all of this seems friendly, if a little crazy. And Riko's a bit wary, not wanting to get killed. NULL then says, "Oh, look at the time! I'll be going now. Goodbye!" Then NULL disappears from the screen. Riko is stunned, and confused, but it could just as easily be a dream. After all, it's not everyday you encounter some entity out to kill you...right? Riko wasn't sure what to think. If it was real, or part of some weird prank, why would this person bother with such an elaborate prank? And if it wasn't...and it was real? Well, there was only one way to find out. She noticed she got teleported to a game on the tablet. It was some sort of baseplate, she thought. Riko noticed NULL's character onscreen again. She typed, "Who are you..." A few seconds later, NULL'S chatbubble said, "My name is NULL!" Riko typed back, "What are you?!" A few moments later, the text bubble in front of Riko said, "Your avatar!" A few moments later, Riko asked, "Why do you want me dead?" To which NULL replied, "I dunno..." Another few seconds pass as Riko tries to process what she just heard.
She couldn't tell if that response sounded genuine or not. Or even how truthful it actually was. It didn't sound malicious, nor did it seem maliciously mean. However, this whole scenario felt like something straight out of a bad joke. This was definitely not normal. In fact, it felt kind of strange. But what could she do?
