The Tree

There once lived a small and sad tree on the foot of a tall mountain. A tree whose only wish was to grow tall, taller than every other tree. For this tree grew under the shade of the tallest ones whom always laughed at the small tree. Because she would never ever taste sunlight...

The tree never came to grow, slowly starting to wither until eventually... it died.

Years passed and that small tree was now no more than a mere stump. One night, sitting on it, a small boy, dressed in white and radiating hope, started chanting some verses to the sky:

"All we truly want is a chance to see the light that shines gracefully upon this world"

As soon as those last words were spoken, the boy faded into the night, and the sun started rising again.

However, something had happened... The tree stump was no longer there... It had vanished without a trace. In its place, there stood a short message:

"Look up"

For the tree once dead, had sprung back to life again, now on the peak of the mountain. Feeling the freshest of breezes and most warming rays of sunlight, the tree could finally smile.

Those who take life for granted, will never truly appreciate its beauty...
