Jalieen was a simple woman, living in a far off secluded cabin far away from the stress and turmoil of the city, working on her small garden, fully self sustainable, Jaileen crouches down with a watering can and waters the almost fully grown carrots. Jalieen smiles when she hears the backdoor open and close. "Come on, both you and I know you are too pregnant to be doing that now, let me do it." she feels her Wife's hand land on hers, motioning to put the watering can down, Jaileen and Scarlet kiss and Jaileen gets up "I know, but... I want to make sure the crops grow for this season, the baby could be due any day now." Jaileen says and Scarlet breathes out a chuckle "And that's exactly why you shouldn't be watering our crops, Honey you know when I married you, I warned you that ill be taking the bestest care of you." Scarlet hugs Jaileen, Jaileen sighs walking inside and sitting down as Scarlet takes over the gardening.
Later that night Scarlet was cooking a delicious potato stew and Jaileen hummed as she rocked in her rocking chair while reading a book next to the fireplace, suddenly Jaileen felt a sharp excruciating pain and she screamed out. The scream caused Scarlet to run out and check if her wife was alright "Are you ok!? What's happening? Talk to me!" Jaileen just grabbed tightly onto Scarlet's arm and said through gritted teeth "The baby! It's happening!"
Hours pass as Jaileen was laying on her bed with Scarlet next to her holding her wife's hand "Shh shh, it's ok, I'm here. I know you can do this honey." Jaileen screamed out in pain "Oh God! It Hurts!!!" Tears rolled down both womens cheeks as Jaileen pushed and breathed over and over again in a constant repetitive cycle of pain but they knew it would all be worth it for their baby.
Another half an hour later as Jaileen screamed with her last push the room goes almost silent, exet for Jaileens groans in pain. Then, a cry fills the room and Scarlet covers her mouth and she quickly grabs a wet warm towel and carefully picks up and cleans the newborn girl. "Oh honey, she's beautiful." Scarlet compliments as she walks over to show Jaileen her baby, a tear of joy leaks from her eye and she gives her daughter a bright happy smile, they named their joy after their favorite garden plant, the Jade Vine. Their daughter is now known as 'Jade'.
After that beautiful magical day the two new mothers took careful care of their baby, Scarlet was making both her most loved ones lunch as Jaileen cradled her baby in her arms, it's been a weak and worry and concern grows inside of her as she stares at her emotionless baby, Jaileen would give anything to see her daughter smile or laugh. "Honey!" Jaileen calls out to her wife in the kitchen "Yes?" Scarlet responds back "She's still not doing anything." Jaileen says in a calm voice, Scarlet enters the room with a bottle of baby milk and a bowl of soup "Im sure she'll let up soon, she's just stubborn, like her mother." Scarlet smiles and places both items on the coffee table and Jaileen sighs "I know but what do we do if it doesn't?" Scarlet, places a hand on her wife's cheek "Then we'll go to the city doctors." She then kisses her. And Jaileen calms down "Alright, yes you're probably right..."
-Five years later-
Scarlet and Jaileen sat on a wood bench as they watched their daughter play in the garden, looking at all the flowers they have grown. "Look at her, it feels like yesterday when she was born." Scarlet sighs and Jaileen scoffs "I'm glad it isn't, giving birth to Jade hurt like hell." Scarlet laughs at what she said and looks back to her daughter, but her face goes pale when she sees Jade on a high tree branch from the forest "Jade!" she yelled and grabbed her red dress, she ran as fast as she could but suddenly before she could reach the tree Jade lost her balance and fell. There was a loud crack when she hit the ground and both mothers screamed "Baby!" Scarlet coddled her crying daughter, Jades entire face was busted and bleeding and her arm was entirely broken.
Jaileen and Scarlet rushed to the City doctors as fast as they could. After an hour, the mothers found out that Jade's arm was shattered and so was her face, except her left eye. When Jaileen and Scarlet entered through the curtains they saw their daughter hooked up in a drip and with a casted arm, and her entire head bandaged leaving a small space for her left eye to see through "She will be discharged tomorrow to heal at home, although we are not sure if it will ever be like it was before, Jade could have lifetime problems." "Problems like what?" Scarlet asked as Jaileen was crying into her wifes chest about the state of their daughter and the Doctor sighed sadly "Problems with speech, increased risk of dislocation in the arm, and unfortunately one of her eyes are blind. Scarlet sobbed with Jaileen as they heard this devastating news.
It took longer than expected but finally after two days Jade was discharged from Hospital, fortunately she hadn't hurt her legs so she was fine with walking and running, although her mothers were taking extra care of Jade to make sure she doesn't mess around and hurt herself again. Dinner was awkward, Jade knew how mad her parents were at her for climbing that tree, but Jade was sure they didn't want to talk about it.
After dinner and dessert, Jaileen tucked Jade to bed "Alright, do you want the light on?" she asks while running a finger through Jade's gray to navy hair, or what's sticking out of the bandages. Jade shook her head and Jaileen smiled "Ok." she responded softly before turning the lamp off and exiting. As soon as Jade knew her mother wasn't near, Jade immediately jumped out the bed and ran to the open window, With Jades one working eye she stared at the beautiful twinkly sky, Jade was always infatuated with stars, ever since she first saw them she was drawn to the bright night sky. She wished she was up there, hugging every star she sees and destroying every planet that got too close to her stars. She slightly gasped as a shooting star passed by and Jade quickly closed her eyes and made a wish, a wish to go to space, no matter how or why. When Jade opened her eyes she was greeted with a purple ball up high in the sky, she never knew purple stars existed. But when it slowly got bigger and bigger she realized it wasn't a star, and whatever it was it was heading straight for their house. In a panic Jade ran out of her room and started banging on her parents doors, she knew it was coming fast. Just as hope filled her eyes and the doorknob twisted there was a crash and the entire house was crushed by the slightly purple luminescent meteor.
Beneath the rubble of the house a hand reached out, slightly glowing. And Jade crawled out, miraculously unharmed, Jade looked at what was her parents room, but only saw the meteor. She was too in shock to be in grief as she looked at her hand, no one knew it but that night... Was The Birth of a God.
