-Authors note.
Carmine walked down the hall with Roland in suite as he tired to clam her down. "Calm down the boy is probably just getting ready.."
Carmine just looked back at Roland with an annoyed look. "Your son... still getting ready... he's probably still fucking sleep."
Roland smirked. "Or fucking... or sleeping ...or both." He mumbled, Carmine swatted his arm as she pulled the door open. She gasped looking around as the harem of girls quickly tossed on the rest of their clothes and leaving, bowing to her as each one left the room. Roland smirked and glanced at the bed. "See... both."
Carmine glared at Roland as she grabbed the water glass smiling. "My sweet child.... its time to wake up you are late." She said and waited.
Her child, now eighteen years old, rolled over groaning softly. His grey to ashy blond hair messy as he ran his hand through it. "Five more minutes ... I'm so tired."
Carmine dumped the water on him annoyed. "You better get up out of this bed or I swear I'll name your cousin as crown princess." She said coldly.
Roland smirked and looked around the room dismally. "He's eighteen... Car... let him be."
Carmine sighed. "At eighteen we got married and I had him... He cant even show up on time..."
Her son opened his eyes, revealing his bright amber and gold eyes. The gold center from his mothers lineage and the Amber from his fathers. He looked up at Carmine and whipped the water off his face. "Good morning mom.."
Carmine looked down at him and sighed. "Good morning my love... now please get up, shower and get ready... it is time for you to be crowned."
Her son sat up and brushed his hair back, looking around for his pants confused. Carmine rolled her eyes and left. Roland checked the clock. "fifteen minute's and then we are gong to cancel it... please hurry... I'll send in Luke."
He widen his eyes at the threat and grabbed a random pair of pants off the stool and headed in. He showered quickly and headed down the hall as he buttoned his shirt. Winking at one of the girls as he tied his boots out side the diamond hall before he waited to head in.
The horns blared and he stood up straight, walking in with a bored expression till he got to his parents. Walking next to Carmine and Roland, Being a perfect balance of both of them he headed towards the head priest. "Mom does he really have to be here... that old man is weird."
Carmine scoffed and sighed. "Yes... now look royal and get through this and then the ball will begin for your birthday and I wont care what you do." Roland smirked and shrugged. "yes he is very creepy."
Kneeling before the priest. He looked up at the statues of life and death. Listening to the long drawn out speech as he held out his hands and took the scepter and the orb. Bowing his head to only the gods, the priest placed the platinum crown on his head. White and black diamond matching his black over coat and formal attire. The gold lace-ing matching his Carmine's dress as the inside of his long tailed coat faded to an dark ashy grey like his fathers formal suit.
Carmine smiled and leaned into Roland happily. The last eight teen years wasn't as hard has the first year was . But raising a child with twice the power they had was as bad as most wars some days. Roland having to rebuild the palace serval times and Carmine trying to keep him along on his studies. All their efforts paying off in this moment as he now became their only heir and biggest pride.
