Sugawaras pov Are you sure you have everything?” My mum asked for what seemed to be the hundredth time. “Yes mum...I have everything.” “Okay just making sure...I’ll miss you.” I turned around to see the pained yet proud look on her face. Today was my first day at a new college. A fresh start...hopefully. A lot of things had gone wrong in the last year. Me and Daichi broke up. I wish i could say it was mutual, apparently he couldn't handle a long distance relationship and broke things off shortly after I told him i was transfering to another college. My parents got divorced...finally. I couldn't stand being around that man any longer, especially after the incident. “I know mum...I’ll miss you too.” I hugged her tightly, not wanting to let her go. She broke the hug and kissed my forehead. “Go meet your roommate.” She said,walking back towards the car. “Don’t forget to call me.” I laughed a bit. “I won’t.” and with that she left. “Welp...brand new school...brand new life.”
I walked into the dorm building, trying my best not to bump into anyone as I looked around for my dorm room. After about 10 minutes of pushing my way through the crowded corridors I made it to my room. I knocked on the door first, just to see if my roommate was in there. "One minute!" I heard a voice call out and some rustling noises before the door was opened. "Can I help you?" This tall man answered the door, his black hair covering one of his eyes. "Oh um. I'm Koshi Sugawara, your roommate." He looked me up and down before smiling. "Well then, nice to meet you. I'm Tetsurō Kuroo." He moved aside, letting me into the dorm. I walked inside. "It's nice to meet you too Kuroo." I smiled back at him, putting my suitcase onto the spare bed on the left side of the room. Kuroo sat on his bed, going back to the game he was playing. "Question, why did you move here so late in the year?" He didn't turn away from his screen as he spoke. I turned my head to look at him, trying to think of an answer before just sighing "It's a long story... I'd rather not get into it." I turned my attention back to unpacking my stuff. "Oh I see..." He said in response to me.
The next hour or so I spent unpacking, leaving the room in awkward silence, only a few swears being said here and there from Kuroo while he was playing his game. Afterwards I just layed on my bed, scrolling through Instagram on my phone... I scoffed slightly at one of daichis posts, a picture of him with his new girlfriend... "Hasn't even been a full week yet fucker." I half mumbled under my breath. Not loud enough to be heard though. I shut my phone off, putting it face down on my desk, now just stating up at the ceiling.
Oikawa's pov I was sat in the common room of my dorm building, leaning back on the sofa and scrolling through Instagram on my phone. I sighed, seeing the multiple cringe stories my exes had posted on their insta about me. "Well they're definitely salty." I heard a voice from behind me speak up. "Mhm... I barely dated them all a week. Jesus Christ." I turned to face the person, my roommate and close friend Atsumu Miya. "You're a whore Tooru, mean that in the best way possible though." He sat down next to me, grabbing his phone from his pocket. "Well I would hope that was meant in a good way cause otherwise that's just plain rude." I scoffed, continuing to look through random posts. "It's true though. Speaking of, did you hear about the new student?" I turned my phone off, looking at Atsumu curiously. "No? There's a new student this late in the year?" Atsumu nodded, pulling up a picture on his phone and showing me. "Yeah, this is him. Sugawara Koshi." I stared at the picture I was shown, analysing every last detail. He was so god damn pretty. His silver hair and hazel-brown eyes complimented his pale skin tone and the beauty mark under his eye added a bit of spice to his otherwise soft complexion.
"He's a cute one." I said, smirking slightly. Atsumu just sighed, putting his phone away. "I should of expected that. The poor boy just got here, give him a week first." I rolled my eyes. "Damn, you're no fun... fine though." Atsumu just looked at me "Mhm...Well since I already know you're gonna go after him, how about we make this more interesting." My eyebrow raised, intrigued by what Atsumu had planned. "Hmm... How so?" I asked, curious to know what he was thinking. "How bout we see how long you can make this one last, you get past 3 weeks without falling genuinely in love I'll give you ¥6000." I thought about his offer for a moment, smiling slightly. "Alright then, you're on." Atsumu smiled back at me. "Well then, I wish you luck Tooru." "Thank you, not that I'm going to need it."
Sugawara's pov I was walking quickly through the corridors, trying to get to my class before I got stuck in the corridors behind groups of people who walked too slow and would never get out of the way. I had managed to find all my classes the day before so I assured myself I wouldn't get lost through this absolute maze of a campus building. I finally made it to the corridor my class was in, continuing to speed walk down the hallway. "Oi Sugawara!" I heard someone call my name, turning around to see Kuroo with two other people. He called me over to them and I walked over, seeing as a I still had a few minutes before class. "Hey." I waved awkwardly. "Hey, I wanted to introduce you to my friends, Kōtarō Bokuto and Tendou Satori. Guys this is my roommate Sugawara Koshi." I waved at the other two, smiling a little. "It's nice to meet you two." They both smiled back at me, Bokuto grabbing my hand and aggressively shaking it. "Nice to meet you Suga." Well he's definitely energetic. I chuckled slightly. "Don't mind him, he's a bit eccentric." Tendou spoke, followed by Kuroo. "And you aren't, Tendou-." Tendou shrugged "Touché." I laughed a little more. "Well I better get to my class, lovely meeting you though." I smiled once again before starting to walk off. The three of them waved at me, Kuroo even offering me to have lunch with them which I accepted.
I walked into my class and of course I just had to bump into someone. "I'm so sorry." I quickly apologised, looking up to see this gorgeous man with fluffy brown hair and matching brown eyes. He just looked back at me, the cold expression on his face instantly warming. "It's fine, don't worry about it. You're Sugawara Koshi, right?"
