I remember when I was kid thinking that life was going to be great and that everything was going to be perfect. Tough luck! Now a days I work at the Lucy lee diner, a waitress. I'm single and I live in a small apartment. I wouldn't call it trash, but it's not what I pictured myself living in as a kid. I'm trying to go to college or take online courses, but barely any universities except people who flunked high school.

Growing up I was a pretty good kid, wonder where that went. I listened to my parents and I never did anything wrong. I started to do things differently after my mom died. I was only 8 and it was really hard to take in. I didn't know what to do. It was upsetting and I cried all the tears in the world the night it happened. I thought I would never see the day light again. I thought that my life was over. So, I changed through out the rest of my life. Not because I wanted to, because I felt it was the only way to get through things. To not feel so bad.

I remember one day in fifth grade, a kid named Parker Wilson asked me why my mom didn't come to meet the parents night at school, I told him that she had passed away a long time ago. He framed me and said "I wonder why? Probably because she hates you!" I got really mad. It was all so overwhelming that just then I went crazy. Next thing I knew, the boy was on the floor with a bloody nose.

Want to know the worst part? My dad didn't even care. Ever since my mother died my dad let completely loose. He was always angry, didn't care what I did, he didn't love anymore. It was just sad. It really hurt me too though, mostly because now I had no parents. My mom was dead and my dad just didn't care. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

"DING DING DING!" My alarm clock buzzed.

"Ugh! I hate Mondays!"

"DING DING DING!" My alarm clock buzzed again.

"Shut up you piece if crap!" I loudly replied.

I lazily got out of bed and started getting ready for work. About 30 minutes later I got into the car and started driving. When I arrived at Lucy Lee's Diner I checked in and then got to work.

"Nova table 9 needs cleaning!"

"Ok jake! I'll be there in a second, I've got to give people there tables!"

"Ok and table 7 needs to place orders!"

"Got it jake!"

I zipped around the restraint giving out and cleaning up tables. I was pouring drinks for table 4 when I remembered that table 7 needed to place there orders.

"Crap!" I whispered.

I ran over to table 7 and found a young man about 17 waiting. He was tall and had light blonde hair. His eyes were the perfect shade of blue, he was like a dream.

"Hi! Sorry it took so long! We've been REALLY busy."

"That's fine. What's your name?"

"Umm... Nova. What can I get for you today?" I said shyly.

"Well, can I please have the large pepperoni pizza?"

"Sure."

"You know that pizza is kind of big, wanna share it?"

"Umm, I don't know."

"Well, when's your break?"

"10 minutes."

"Perfect! Ill be waiting."

I walked away thinking,

"what in the hell did I just get myself into?"

I honestly didn't know what to say, but now I'm stuck with him. I'm stuck eating pizza with a guy I barely knew. Might as well hope for the best!
