Keely’s POV
I looked over at the boys conversing and found myself surrounded by random guys trying to dance with me, and I was not comfortable with that. I made my way out of the crowd and walked over through the foggy club atmosphere to get outside. Just as I was about to get outside a hand grabbed hold of mine. I flipped my head around to see an adorable boy smiling over at me.
“Keely!” Tom said with a bright expression across his face.
I ran my fingers through my hair and grinned awkwardly.
“You alright?” He asked me as he moved some of my hair out of my face, lightly touching my skin with his fingertips, sending a little shiver down my spin.
“I… I uh… yeah I just got a bit overwhelmed back there after Niall left me dancing alone. Liam pulled him away and they all looked like they were in a serious conversation so I didn’t want to bother them.” I said not making eye contact with him as I focused on my hands.
I could feel him shrug his shoulders as he nodded a bit.
“I can walk you outside if you want?” He offered politely.
I looked up into his eyes and felt my heartbeat increase a bit. I had become a bit dizzy, which tends to happen at times where I was overwhelmed.
“Yeah you don’t look so well… let’s get you out of here.” He said as he gently put his hand on my shoulder and led me out the door.
When we walked outside, immediately, bright flashes surrounded my view.
I completely forgot about the paparazzi. I also forgot how stupid it was for me to have walked into the club with Niall Horan, and out of it with Tom Daley.
Tom didn’t stop for any of them as he swiftly guided me past them with his hand on my back. I was so focused on getting away from them, I didn’t hear what any of them had to say.
Tom led me to his car as he opened the passenger seat and motioned me to get inside.
I looked at him with a confused expression, not understanding his motives.
“I’m not taking you somewhere, I just want to talk… is that okay?” He asked me kindly, compassion in his eyes.
I nodded and sat down in the seat of his car, watching him shut the door behind me, and making his way to his side.
When he got in we both sat in silence for a moment, until he slowly reached his hand over to turn on the radio, giving me a funny look as he clicked it.
“Lego House” by Ed Sheeran filled the silence.
“So… What are you doing here?” I asked him, finally looking at him with out nerves.
He got excited it seemed that I finally found the words to say. He leaned his arms over the steering wheel and laid his head on them as he turned to me and said, “I was meeting a couple of my friends down there, was having a drink with some of my mates when I saw this beautiful brunette in a red dress dancing the night away. I was going to go dance with her until…” He dragged off.
“Why didn’t you ask me!? I would have loved dancing with you.” I informed him as I poked the side of his arm playfully.
He giggled a little before he continued.
“Well, the girl was getting pretty up close and personal to a certain blonde boy band member… didn’t want to disturb.” He answered as he rotated his gaze forward.
I shifted in my seat feeling uncomfortable and nervous now. I didn’t know why Niall and I were dancing like that, we just were. I told Tom that Niall was like a brother to me, cause he is. But he’s more like the best friend you call your brother because he looks after you, but you still think he’s attractive and you enjoy when he gets close to you in a playful and flirty manor.
