I let out a sigh looking up at this two story brick building lurking over me, making me wonder if this is all one big mistake. Will I regret this? Will is even get the job? What if they don't like me? No. I step out of my burst of anxiety and hesitantly I open the door and step inside. The lack of sound frightens me even more as only the clicking of my heels can be heard 'stupid heels' I scold myself. Suddenly the pressure of eyes on me build up and my eyes meet the gaze of a beautiful assistant lady. "Name?" She asks while chewing obnoxiously on a piece of gum.
"Oh... um yes it's Ryleigh Mac" my cheeks brighten as I try to send her a non-threatening tone.
"Go in. He is waiting for you" the lady rolls her eyes, it seems like jealousy but I shrug it off and step through two matte black doors.
'Woah' I gaze upon this ravishing man who appears to be in his mid twenties. 'act cool' I breathe out and approach a long table where I am sat in-front of a raven haired man with a defined face that no one would ever forget. His sapphire eyes lurk on my body and he clears his throat. "Hello miss Ryleigh Price. I am Damien newly owner of Carter enterprise. I understand you are going for the manager assistance position, correct?"My head nods slightly as I observe his movements carefully, I attend to his low and soothing voice slightly aroused from it.
"well looking at your resume it states you've had a lot of practice working with high end businesses so I'm assuming you know how most things work and what I expect of you?" His voice runs like a record player over and over in my head.
My voice cracks "yes sir, I'm confident and reliable" he adjusts in his seat after being spoken to and I catch as he takes one more glance upon my body.
"How does 9 am tomorrow sound?" He suggests looking at me with a smirk as if to suggest something.
"Y..yes sir I'd like that very much" I stutter with wide open eyes, not at all expecting it to go this well.
"Right, I'll see you in my office tomorrow at 9 sharp. Am I clear?" He asks but it feels more like a demand.
"Sounds great sir, thank you." I smile and get out of my chair about to leave when I hear a cough as I turn back around to see him.
"Wear something nice" his smug look sends shivers down my spine as I turn around quickly and leave the building.
