"Dipper."

A familiar voice whispered. A voice that sent chills through his entire body, Dipper shot upright in bed. He looked around in the dark room, only the moon to cast light. He was at home, alone in his room. He felt a weird pang of sadness that his sister, Mabel wasn't across the room with her pet pig, Waddles.

He laid back down, trying to go to sleep, remembering the trip back home. It had been....eventful. The echoing voices of his uncle, and his other uncle, Stan, echoing in his head. He tossed and turned, remembering the shock that their parents had when Mabel had come home with the pig. Of course, no one could stop Mabel, and they kept Waddles.

But every so often, he would open the third, and only remaining journal, just to reminisce. He missed his uncle, and lazy Susan, and most of all, Wendy. Oh gods, how he wished that she could see him now.

He tried to get back to sleep, but he couldn't push the idea of gravity falls, and what the upcoming summer would look like, now that they were older. He hadn't actually got letters from Pacifica recently, they stopped a few years ago. But he remembered her, how...condescending she used to be. He smiled, it felt weird to consider her to be less of a brat.

He got out of bed, stumbling in the dark to flip on his lights. Oh, Modern lights, how they had scarcely had those in gravity Falls. He missed the place, with its weirdness. The only thing he didn't miss....

"Dipper...."

That voice. He spun around in a circle, his heart racing as he clutched the journal in his hand, and he was there, looking up at that face, the horrible Isosceles terror as Mabel had nicknamed him, he felt thirteen again, staring up at Bill.

"What do you want?!" he called out to the empty room. He felt stupid, crazy even, and he hoped that he wasn't too loud, he would hate for Mabel to think him paranoid, crazy even. Bill was gone, dead. He couldn't be here....could he? Dipper tried to shake it off.

"YOU."

Dipper shouted as someone tackled him, and a cold, bright rope of metal wrapped around him, pinning his arms to his sides. Warm, nimble hands turned him onto his back as he stared up into the face of a boy. A boy with golden hair, and golden eyes, and a familiar.....smile.

"Who-" The boy laughed, standing, and tipping Dipper his tiny, familiar hat. He wore some sort of coat over what looked like a school uniform. Everything was black and yellow, and Dipper felt like he was dreaming. "Who are-"

"Shush, my beauty." The boy grinned, leaning down to look Dipper up and Down. Dipper found this......insulting? He looked away, feeling a huff of air leave him body. N" Who are you? What do you want?" He asked without looking at the boy. A million questions raising in his head.

"Really? You don't remember me?" The boy's voice, it was....it couldn't be....there were footsteps coming. Dipper looked up at the boy's face, it seemed too familiar, his eyes....they were...catlike? "Dipper?" Mabel's voice came as the door began to open.

The chains disappeared and Dipper made a gasp as he tumbled out of his restraints, sitting up quickly. The boy with the golden hair vanishing quickly. Mabel looked at him with confusion. "What are you doing on the floor?"

"Uh...nothing? What are you doing in my room?" Mabel eyed him curiously, her hand on the door, her mouth slightly open. It was strange to see a perfect set of teeth without braces. She still had a crazy obsession with sweaters, and headbands. She never really outgrew that.

"I thought I heard someone in here." she paused, to squint at him. "You aren't summoning strange creatures are you?" there was a joking tone in her voice, and Dipper laughed, and she grinned. He hoped she wouldn't be able to feel the awkwardness, fingers crossed there was no such thing as twin telepathy.

"No, that's crazy...." he trailed off, unsure how to proceed. Crazy could not begin to describe their favourite, and craziest summer. They stood, staring at each other, both knowing they wanted to say something, the obvious wish hung in the air, but then Mabel nodded, and turned to leave.

"I wish we could go back." Dipper whispered, Mabel froze, but didn't turn to look at him. There was a sad tremor in her voice. "Me too." before the door closed, and she was gone. Dipper stood there for a long time, wondering why he felt such a strange sense of danger, so foreboding and yet so familiar and exciting. He climbed into bed, hoping that it was just that, a feeling.
