Dream Team Zombie Apocalypse (DTZA) (SEVERELY DISCONTINUED I'M SO SORRY)

I'm really sorry that this isn't a chapter, I really wanted to make this one rather than getting all of your hopes up but I really just can't bring myself to.

I've completely lost interest in writing this and I wish I could keep going cos I know how horrible it is to like a story and have it be discontinued but sometimes that's just how it is.

So i figured I'll include how it would have ended for anyone who was curious, and if anyone want to continue this or use it as inspiration you have permission. <3

I was gonna have them find George and Sapnap in an abandoned house (Big surprise, another abandoned house). I would've had Sapnap be really cautious of Ainslie, which is reasonable, but inconvenient. Given what he's said about apocalypse scenarios and how he really would inconvenience people he doesn't know to keep the people he does know alive. George was gonna be injured from a bullet wound in the leg, not infected, because Koby and his group stumbled across them just before Hoodie and Ainslie arrived and Koby used the gun he stole from Hoodie. Ainslie would quickly realise that, wait, that's Sapnap and George, and connect the dots. Dream would be absolutely terrified for a second, and Ainslie would probably be in shock or something. Sapnap, though, I think would get straight to the point and tell her to get over it or get lost. At some point Ainslie and Hoodie would probably have a talk about why he hid his identity despite it literally not mattering in a zombie apocalypse.

Next day they'd find out there's a laboratory nearby (wow what omg that's soooooo believable) So as a sort of test of usefulness Ainslie would go there with Sapnap, and they figure out using ✨ context clues ✨ the infection was caused by science (i know, big surprise) and that the zombies are still real, conscious people but have no control over their instincts or body, so they've been killing innocent people (flashback to Ainslie's doubts about killing them in the first chapters), and that they're basically in constant pain, during and post infection.

Then cut back to Hoodie and George who are defending themselves against a zombie, and dream accidentally makes contact and get infected and i was gonna do a cool thing where it would cut between scenes where ainslie is reading out the process of getting infected as it was happening to hoodie.'Once physical contact made with substance immediate pain spreads slowly across the body, completely covering after a few hours.'

Then ainslie would remember the keycard that they got in that underground bunker and so her and sapnap would walk back, taking their sweet old time cos they wouldn't know that hoodie was literally in the process of becoming a zombie and maybe they should, y'know, DU DU DU DU

And then it's revealed that koby was the half transformed zombie that infected dream :O cos he's still got a bit of control and he'd come to the abandoned house in hopes of one of them being able to help cos he's in a lot of pain and figure if he pissed dream off enough then maybe ya boi would end it for him,

So dream traps koby, who by then had lost all control, in a closet,(lmao) and so dream would lean against the closet door and ask george if he could anything tocut off his infected hand, except with a lot of panic and fear and all that. But of course they dont know how long it takes so he ends up convincing george to stay away just in case, lock himself in a room or something

"Please George get in the bathroom and make sure I can't open the door."

"I'm not just getting in the bathroom and listening to you die"

"I know for a fact that you couldn't kill me, even if I was just a shell!"

"N-no!"

"Don't be so stupid you idiot! Get in! You're being dumb!"

And then ainslie and sapnap would walk in, and quickly grab the keycard and rush back to the lab in the hopes that maybeit would lead to a cure. Because what else could be behind so much security

Blah blah blah they get the cure, there's two vials, so they grab the cures, and anything else in the room and rush back, cure dream. Then, y'know what, they owe nothing to society, so they cure koby too, even a jerk like him doesn't deserve this.

Then when koby comes to, he'd tell them everything, about briar being manipulative, how she pushed him toward a zombie to save herself, expecting him to turn immediately. And ainslie has a girlboss moment where she questions him on every wrong he had done to them.

Ainslie steps forward "did you ever care, don't lie to me."

"I wanted to stay. I knew that you were both better people than Briar. At the start it was all a lie, but please know it wasn't by the end."

"And yet you took everything and left anyway?"

"After we left the bunker a few cans were gone, you thought you'd dropped them but I knew it was her. She wouldn't have, and clearly didn't, take kindly to me picking you guys over her."

"You shot george in the leg with the gun you stole from us!"

"I'm gonna be honest, that was the night I left you guys, after I left Briar found me, helped me carry everything, saying I did a great job, dragging your names through the mud, and I was already upset at you both."

"Why?"

"Because I had become obsessed with you, even in such a brief time, obsessed with how kind you were, how much better you treated me, and Hoodie here was posing a threat. I never learnt to be as empathetic as people like you, only to act that way. Anyway we stumbled across these two and by that point I knew they were your friends, dream, and all I wanted was payback."

"And why did you come back and infect dream?"

"I thought he would end the pain... Clearly I was wrong. Instead you did it."... "You should leave, I just want to forget about all of this. Stop making me idolise you."

"It would be stupid to even suggest that this world will ever be normal again, but if it ever comes to the point where it's possible, please, Koby, get a bloody therapist you rly need it.

And with no goals they were at a loss of things to do. For some reason Ainlsie really wanted to return to aunt steph's apartment because something wasnt' adding up 'Aunt Stephanie paused mid-shoving things into a closet and looked her niece in the eyes. She smiled, just like she used to. AUNTY STEPH HAD A JOB AS A CLEANER AT A LAB, THOSE WERE CURES! So they tracked back, past the town, past the charred building, no sign of the lighter, other than bits of blue plastic strewn about, back to the convenience store. They'd get back in through the window in Ainslie's room and search the house, lock Aunty steph in a room, get the cures and Aunty's phone, which had numbers in it, and they'd find a scientist to replicate the cure!
