Hope; a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.

Truly, hope is nothing but an illusion. An illusion to make us think that something may happen just because we want it to. We hope that our crush finally noticed us, that we don't fail a grade, that we don't end up pregnant at sixteen, but it all happens. Except the last one, not all of end up pregnant at sixteen.
But who cares?
Oh. Wait... We do.

Well maybe we should approach it differently.
Let's start with you.
Yeah you the one who's being bullied at school because you're weird or fat or dumb or whatever name they call you. You have hope that everything will get better in the end once you graduate high school or go to another school. But you're wrong. I'm sorry for the honesty. It's just that by letting people step on you (figuratively) you're letting them control you. And I can't let that happen. I'm not saying that things won't get better, because, they will you just have to be sure of it. You have got to have faith that everything will turn out okay. And by hoping for something to happen is like longing for a freaking vacation in the Bahamas, knowing that you'll never get there unless you work for it.
Now let's go to you. The one over there who's pinning after someone else's boyfriend/girlfriend and although you see them happy you can't help but hope that one day they'll breakup. (Sorry for calling you out.) Okay, so, your case is severe (not that bullying isn't). You're hoping for something that may never happen. So change it, have faith that one day, wether it be tomorrow or the next day or the day after that, that you'll find someone who can make you feel butterflies and is single and perfectly ready to mingle. And if God or Buddha or Allah or whoever still doesn't put someone in your path maybe it's for the better, maybe they're saving you for a model or a rockstar or an actor or maybe just humble guy that can see the beauty in all of you.
Faith; complete trust or confidence in someone or something.
