Knock Knock

"May I come in?" I asked holding the handle of the door after knocking it.
Right in front of me was my math teacher, Mr. Ross. Upon seeing me, a smile crossed his face.

"Indeed come in."

My name is Alexa Wood. I am currently 16 years old. I am in High School [ Grade 9 ]. I am from Geinsburgh William School. It was one of the most prestigious institution of our city. It had a great reputation for it's education and discipline. Mr. Ross aka Jack Ross, my math tutor, was the teacher of another institution called Luke Hearth School. Another prestigious institution. Well, if to compare between two institution, Luke Hearth School was ahead for it's military influence and notable teachers. But who am I to judge their qualities when something was already being plotting for me in the future.

Back to it, Mary Hearth attracted most of the public's heart and desire for their children to admit there. But even being behind, my school had *over-populated* students.  The heat, the rush and the noise never failed to amuse me and dares me not to question it's student number.

As I was saying, Mr. Ross was a teacher of another institute. He did private tutoring after school to his school's student and another institute's student. Discrimination was something that never stayed his mind. His smile was the same for his best student to bad student. There is more to his story that will be revealed ahead in the future.

As I came inside, I took a seat near him and relaxed my body. As always he was busy checking copies. It was after the mid term so there wasn't much rush to start new chapters. After 2-3 minutes of comfortable silence, he finally broke the silence and said,

"So, how was the exam?"

"It was fine" I spoke looking at the ceiling.

Did he renovated the ceilings?

"Fine as in?" He again asked.

"It was *magnificently* fine. The math question took all out of me" I replied.

"Why? Didn't I teach the essentials?" He asked.

"Yes, lemme finish. So, it took me 5 minutes to figure out the question then taking a rough copy I could easily solve everything one by one" I said finally looking at his face.

"This is it. That's the spirit. I knew it. My student could never let me down. Haha" he loudly said and laughed.

But you are expecting too much from me.

[Hey guys. Sorry for the interruption. The sentences written in italic letters are the pov of Alexa's mind. Hope you enjoy!]

"Yeah" I said smiling dryly.

Basically, today I came here to meet him as the schedule of exams of two institution's never matched. My mom sent him some gifts for his new apartment as a welcoming gift. Then after talking for some time and rescheduling our routine, I left the place with a heavy sigh. It's gonna be a long day ahead. As I was leaving the place, I noticed a voice behind other room. A deep masculine voice. I never heard this kind of voice. It was a very deep and mature voice.

Whatever. I sound like a dying goose.

For some reason, I wanted to see that person. But curiosity kills the cat proverb came to my mind and prevented me not to barge that room.

Arriving at the gate, sun rays hitting my face led the path of my home and reminded me that there are still more works left for me.

*Deep sigh*

Hope that you guys enjoyed.🤍
