"So did you just come here to fuck me?" Maia questioned slipping her shirt back over her head. Lucky stared at the girl dumbfounded— how could she think that was all she came for—
"Are you serious?"
"Why else would you just show up at my door at twelve am" Maia shrugged.
"You think I'm here for some booty call Maia?" Lucky placed her face in her hands, running it through her hair. "I fucked you because you looked good, but I'm here because I want you back"
"Want me back? You never asked me to be your girlfriend" her eyebrow raised as she placed a hand on her chest.
"That's why you're acting this way, you want me to ask you to be my girlfriend?"
"I don't know, do I?", Maia got up from the couch, walking to the kitchen to get something to drink. Sex was really exasperating, and she needed something to drink. "Hey do you want some water?" Maia yelled out to Lucky.
"Sure" She spoke from behind her, startling Maia making her drop the bottles she held in her hand.
"What the fuck Luck, you scared the shit out of me" she said breathing hard, her hand clutching her chest.
"Maia... will you be my girlfriend?"
"What?" Maia picked the bottles up from the floor, but stopped after hearing Lucky's question. She stood up facing the girl with a quizzical look on her face.
"Im not the asking type.... But I do want you to be my girlfriend, if you'll have me of course" Lucky spoke again, her hand rubbing the short hairs on the back of her head.
Maias lips slowly formed into a smirk as she watched how nervous Lucky got.
I wonder if she likes to play games?
"Mmm I'll think about it" she spoke walking out the kitchen past Lucky. Lucky followed behind confused by the girl who just made it a big deal about being asked. "What's there to think about?" Lucky asked grabbing Maias wrist to stop her from walking away.
Maias eyes roamed Lucky's face that held a look of confusion, "what?" Maia smiled as if she did nothing.
"Maia be serious" Lucky spoke, pinning her to a nearby wall.
"I am serious Lucky" her smile still on her lips, Maia couldn't help but to burst out in laughter at how Lucky continued to stand there, her lips slightly parted, confused. A look she thought was cute on the woman who typically kept a tough exterior.
"Stop fucking with me Maia" Luck rolled her eyes, walking back to the couch to take a seat.
"To answer your question, yes I'll be your girlfriend Luciana" she answered taking a seat on Lucky's lap.
Lucky thought her name sounded beautiful coming out of Maias mouth, the name she normally hated to be called, came out of Maias lips for the first time and it made her mind drift into dirty thoughts, thinking how it would sound if she moaned it instead. Lucky peered up at the girl sitting on her lap, smiling before pulling her body in for a bone crushing hug.
"But!! There are rules" Maia exclaimed trying to wiggle out of the grasp Lucky kept on her.
"Name them fiore, anything"
"You have to be completely honest with me when it comes to your life, I've had someone completely hide themselves from me and it...sucks" she trailed off, her eyes averting to the skin she played with on her hands.
"I promise you fiore, anything you ask you'll know" she said taking Maias hands in hers, kissing them softly.
"Is there anything you need to tell me now?"
Lucky thought about the question for a bit, she wondered if she should tell Maia that the incident with her ex wasn't just a one time thing, that she had planned to take her life and she still didn't know why. She thought Maia would flip out over it and be just as confused as Lucky was. She thought it'd be best to wait to tell the girl, not wanting to spoil the moment.
"Nothing I can think of right now" she lied, kissing Maia on her cheek.
"Okay well that's a start", she smiled placing a hand on Lucky's cheek, their eyes locking as her hand started to play with the hair that fell in her face. "Do you wanna see my room" Maia smirked.
Lucky nodded her head, she liked where this was going. It was official Maia was hers, and there was nothing that was gonna change that. Lucky was going to make sure of it, she couldn't understand why Maia made her feel so deeply for her— something she'd never experienced before, but Maia made it all worth it.

*Beep...Beep...Beep*
Maias alarm on her phone went off, indicating it was morning and she needed to be up to make it to work on time. She quickly hopped out the bed cutting off the alarm, which woke Lucky up cursing at the phone that woke her up from her deep sleep.
"What time is it?" Lucky asked groggily, while she rubbed her eyes trying to wake up.
"It's 8" Maia answered pulling her scrubs out of the drawer.
"Where are you going?" Lucky questioned again still half sleep.
"I have work, Lucky... remember trauma resident" she spoke in a duh tone rolling her eyes, before exiting to take a shower.
Lucky laid there in amazement at how the girl stayed up till nearly four in the morning, and was now up at eight getting ready for a full day of work. She felt bad that she was the reason she was up all night, not knowing she had work in the morning. Maia walked back in the room a towel wrapped around her dripping body.
"Do you want me to take you? I can pick you up later too" Lucky asked, her attempt to be helpful.
"No, it's fine— besides I'm gonna be home till real late, I might get my first surgery today"
"What! Maia why didn't you say something" Lucky pouted, "I would've let you sleep sooner... that's big"
"I swear I'm fine, nothing coffee won't fix" she answered while she brushed her hair back into a bun.
"Still let me take you to work, I don't mind getting you late tonight"
"Fine"
Maia continued to get ready while Lucky watched her, Maia truly fascinated Lucky, she was different from any other woman she'd "been" with— which made her wonder why would anyone ever hurt her, remembering when Maia mentioned how she had been lied to before. Maia had briefly mentioned to Lucky of her past relationship before her, and from what she gathered it wasn't enjoyable at all— Maia would never give details but Lucky never pried, urging her to tell her on her own time sensing it was a tough topic for her.
She wondered if she was hiding something serious from her, hoping she'd find out what it was soon, but who was she to wonder when she harbored secrets of her own.
