(A/N For those who are confused, I started Kaine's pov from the part where Dare and Denise shifted into the house.)

~Kaine~

Dare and Denise just shifted into the living room, and I'm dying to know what happened when Jace and Ari were together. I know that Ari's dad blasted her; and both my wolf and I want his blood for that, but I need more details. Ari moved quickly to the couch, and I couldn't catch her fast enough so that I could carry her, but I managed to make her with me. I listened as she explained what exactly happened when she was at the hotel. Dare and I both growled when we heard Mictian blasted her. I DO NOT like anyone hurting my mate. Denise calmed Dare down, and I could see him trying to take deep breaths. Dare and Denise did looked at each other before Dare motioned everyone to leave. I pretended not to see and nuzzled my mate's neck. Her fresh scent filled my nostrils and I smiled against her neck. Ari smelled like fresh lavender and thunderstorm. Sweet smelling, yet explosive.

" "Kaine, I want to talk to my sister. Alone." Dare interrupted.

I huffed, and gave Ari a kiss before leaving. Jace and Denise was already outside, so I waited with them. I could happily gone without having a conversion with Jace, but he had other ideas.

"How long have you know her? " Jace asked, leaning forward with his hands clasped in front of him.

I growled, before answering.

"Its not if her god-damn business! "

"Alright, break it up boys." Denise's voice cut true and we stayed silent. Dare finally came out and I stood up anxiously. What did he say to Ari? Where is she?

"She has a lot to take in, give her some space. " Dare said sternly and with that, took Denise's hand before leading her to their bedroom. I spurned around and made my way to the music room beside Ari's bedroom. I saw it when I came over a couple of times, but I haven't really went inside yet. I could give her space yet still be close to her that way.

I opened the door and made my way to the piano. I had only sat in front it for a few seconds before I heard the door opened again. I whipped my head around and there stood Ari, looking like an angel.

My angel.

She looked shocked when she saw me, but quickly recovered.

"Come sit with me. " I patted the seat beside me and moved over to make space for her. I saw her hesitate, before making her way over. I smiled internally, before opening the piano cover. I wanted to sing to her, maybe that way she would finally understand my love for her, and not distance her self from me again. As I sing the lyrics, my head was filled with images of Ari. Her laughing, how she will clench her fingers into a fist when she's angry. I didn't even realise she was crying until I finished the song. I gently wiped the tears form her silken check and she laid her head on my shoulder. I smiled, watching drift to sleep.

"I love you." I murmured into her ear, before carefully lifting her into my arms, so that I do not jolt her awake. I changed her clothes and striped down to my boxes, before tucking us both to bed. I pulled her into my arms and buried my face in her hair before letting sleep pull me under.

I woke up when I felt the stare of someone.

"Staring is not polite." I said opening my eyes.

Ari was propped up on her elbows, looking down at me.

She rolled her eyes before getting out of bed.

"We need to find out more about the prophecy. Do you know anyone who knows? " Ari asked, walking into the bathroom.

I pondered over my options.
