A long ago there was a girl whose name was Mariam, who was born in the month of Ramadan. She lived in the country of Arabia.

And Arab is a beautiful country.

She was happy with her simple life in Arabia. She was not sad that she was poor and do not have that much money like other kids. She believes in Almighty Allah, the one and the only lord.

Mariam was 14 years old. She was a kind-hearted girl and pretty young lady, she has brown long straight hair and she was tall and independent. She was brilliant and intelligent girl . She was very good in studies.

Although a simple, peasant girl, something was different about her. Something which wasn't natural.

She had two sisters name Sana and Mihrimah. They were bad and always teasing Mariam. They did not respect elders. They behaved rudely to poor and needy people. On the other hand Mariam was good and nice to everyone. She never behaved rude to people. She always helped and gave money and food to the poor people and Mariam was the smallest and youngest in her family. Her father worked as a merchant and her mother was a housewife. Mariam and her sister had not much relationship like sisters. Sana and Mihrimah were twins.

They were living happily but happiness didn't stay longer, her father become sick and he could not go to the work for days. Times were going harder. Sometimes they could skip the lunch. They were suffering a lot they can not pay the tution fee of Marian's studies.

They all decided to find a work. Their mother gave them some money to started a work. Sana and Mihrimah went to market and bought tea packets and then they both began selling them in the streets but no one was buying it and Mariam went to market and bought some vegetables and fruits and began to sell them from street to street .They were having a hard time.

After evening they all came back come and put all their money and gave to their mother. Then their mother began to count the money, it was not enough for lunch and dinner. However they had their lunch.

Mariam was praying to Almighty Allah that her father would get rid from the sickness and go to his work and she prayed for her father and family all day. Mariam knew that Allah would look at her one day.

"Be kind, have courage and always believe in a little magic." Mariam's late grandmother used to say.
