A lesson has been learned through the unyielding pain of loss.

Location: Watson, little China.

It's about midnight the night sky is aglow with the city's bright neon as rain falls light reflecting off the buildings tinted glass.

"N/N?" she arches a brow, "Hey Kiwi...I'm not sure if what I'm planning is gonna work - but I'm gonna do it." Her brows furrowed, "Do what exactly?" Her voice is quiet.

A sigh escapes his lips, "I don't exactly know yet.. I have to do something..." Running a hand through her short blonde hair, "Whatever it is you're about to do, just...please don't die. I'll be here - waiting for you."

"Thanks." He hummed, "I'll do my best." Cutting the call.

Feline red eyes stare blankly at the flat black ceiling of a city as rain falls the sound of traffic booms in the distance as droves of people made their way to and from their destinations.

Gigantic buildings dwarfing the size of ancient pyramids of the past, a flashing light and the blaring sound of an AV drifts slowly towards one of the gigantic buildings.

Vehicles whispering by on the filthy rain wet filled streets and beyond, a trauma team ambulance in the distance, sirens screaming in the distance.

'But it's not for him. He's checking out soon.' She thinks running a hand through her hair, her brows furrowing - slinging a couple hundred eddies to the owner of the portable ramen bar, Kiwi rose to her feet.

As she strolled the street, hands tucked deep in her blue coat pockets, she thought back to their first meeting.

She didn't remember the exact location - the place isn't around in 2077. She knows that much.

She remembered the scenery a bar? maybe. Not here nor there, an anomaly given physical form. That's what Kiwi first thought when she laid her eyes on him.

The roar of an AV overhead ripped Kiwi from her thoughts, she turns her gaze to the sky - neon lit umbrella in hand.

Puddles splashed beneath her feet as she walked, shifting through the droves of people with no effort - something Y/N taught her.

"HELLOOO THERE NIGHY CITY!! Stanley here with ya and we got another day ahead of us in this city of dreams!"

Glancing overhead - an AV drifts off among the buildings like a fish vanishing into seaweed in the distance red fire blots out the cool blue neon.

"Ooo, I love this town! Love it like a mother who popped you out on the steps of an orphanage once and now stops to ask if you've got a smoke for her!"
