"Why did you do that," Mark asks me, "you're not programmed to do that, are you?" I can see his visible confusion as if why I did that, it's not fair to not explain it to him. "In our handbook displeasing someone has consequences, back whenever we were learning things one of us disobeyed, they were destroyed," I explain "so it would only be fair if in the handbook I had to suffer consequences."

"But it's not right."

"I don't care if you think it's not right, plus I thought you didn't even enjoy me being here?"

"I didn't say that?"

"But you act like it."

"Things have been hard lately okay?"

"I understand, I thought I would've made it better if I was gone since you seemed unhappy with me here, so I thought if I got rid of myself it would help you feel better," I pause "it's my job, after all, to keep you happy."

"But who will keep you happy?
"I don't need to be happy, think of it like this it'll make me happy if you're happy."

"But I won't be happy if you're gone."
"And why is that?"
"I'd feel bad, I said some crude things when you first came over." Mark says, acknowledging the past, "it made you doubt yourself in a way I guess?"

"I was just unsure of all my teachings, it felt like they went to waste, it's pretty common for them too actually, being decommissioned back when we were learning was fairly common."

"Wait, they just decommissioned you guys freely inconsiderate of your feelings?"

"Well, it was right for them to do so, some of them were very close to being almost human." I sigh, thinking back to their wretched screams, "we're supposed to be making you guys happy, not making you worry about our feelings, we live for you, not for ourselves."

"Well that just isn't fair, is it?"

"I think it's fair, we're still supposed to be making you happy, you shouldn't be worrying for us, it distracts you from your happiness."

"I don't think I like the idea of that."

"I would go against it if it made you happy, but the handbook-"

"It does make me happy, and you said it's your job to make me happy, right?" Mark cuts me off smirking at me

"I'll contemplate it," I quickly reply yearning for new answers about going against the handbook to make him happy. He smiles at me so I return the favor by smiling back.

I look down at Tubbo and Tommy who are now lying down on the floor, snoring. "I guess they're wiped out." He says flopping backward onto his bed. "I suppose so," I whisper looking over at Tommy. "Whenever I visited them in the UK all you could hear was his snoring at night whenever he stayed over, god was he and still is loud," Mark remarks having a disgusted scrunched-up face. "Luckily I don't need sleep, I heard in the handbook things like that are annoying to humans." I state, referring back to the handbook "Well, your handbook is right about one thing finally." Mark groans out probably frustrated with his inability to sleep because of the loud noise.

"Well, I think my handbook is right about many things!"

"I thought you said you'd think about what I said!"

"Uhm, I still am!"

"This handbook sounds like a guide to becoming a machine..."

"I am a machine though?"

"That doesn't mean anything, when I think of a machine I think of someone whose more lifeless and plain," Mark describes and looks through his bedside window, "You not like that though, you seem opinionated yet you're in denial about it and make yourself act a certain way."
