Jax Pov
I woke up, 6am to be exact. I didn't get up though, I just lay down on my bed. Last night, that wasn't me. Can't believe I did that. That's why I don't want to talk to people after drinking, cause I can be a person I can't recognize the next day. Then a call showed up, why's André calling me at this hour?
"What's up?"
"What's up. How are you and Arielle?"
"Good, I guess"
"I heard you take her to dates. Do you still do?"
"Yeah. Sometimes" I'm just giving him answers, don't have the energy to argue
"So, did you get closer to her? You celebrated both Christmas and New Year together. Have you gotten more closer after that?" I frown, that was few months ago
"Why do you ask, André?" he giggled,
"Nothing. Just wanna know. I heard you really take care of her on your marriage"
"I'm doing it as a favor from dad and Mr. Rousseau. It is against my will. You know I hate this" I spoke,
"You hated your set up the first time. But do you still hate it?" I cannot utter a single word,
"You take care of her when it is that time of the month. I heard all these from dad, you even left the company to pick her up and get her home. In the middle of a busy time? Really, Jax? You leave your work for her? That's new. Work is your first priority. And suddenly, it's Arielle now I guess"
"Are you teasing me?" I frown, I heard him chuckling
"Does it seem so? Well, it's not. I'm stating facts. You cared for her. You cared, Jax. You know how big that thing is? You cared. You don't do that to other people"
"You said you're just doing that because of the favor. But I think you're just using that as an excuse"
"You truly are a Vaux. Your actions were proving it" I don't want to listen at his words, it's like bullets targeting me.
"But it's not because I want to" I countered,
"Are you sure?" I did not answer, there is confusion inside of me.
"How are you around her after the wedding? You're a cold person. You don't talk to anyone. You do not care for anyone. You don't let someone touch you. Did it change after the wedding? Are you still cold towards her? Do you not talk to her? Do you let her touch you?" I can't even say no to those questions, the answer's obvious.
"I...I let her" the only thing I can say,
"See. All those rules you set for yourself, you let her ruin it. You let her break all of it. Since when? When you got married? The night you met each other? The days when you're preparing for the wedding?" when did I let her break all of it? I'm not even sure.
"Your contract. Do you believe that you didn't break any of the conditions stated on that contract? Or did you forgot about it?"
These past weeks, I forgot the conditions I stated in the contract. But if I think about it...my conditions were...broken....??
"Do you still want your marriage to end?"
"Isn't that the reason why there's a contract?" I spoke,
