Nothing is left. Nothing was spared, except for small forests. I can't even understand how anyone survived. How even I survived. A thirteen year old girl, alone, with nothing but the torn and dirty clothes I wear. All because of that one war. That one explosion did all of this. Might as well go ahead and call this the apocalypse. Dust covers the sky, barely letting any form of light fight its way through. No plants grow, and almost all living things in a whole are gone. There isn't much to live on, and anything that is, you have to kill for. I have witnessed murder for a small jug that was only half full of water. I've witnessed murder for a nearly rotten dog corpse. I've witnessed cannibalism. It is literally kill or be killed.
I am sure you are wondering how a thirteen year old girl hasn't been killed yet, right? Yeah. me too. I have met people in the last few months, since the bomb went off, and stolen rations, literally a thief in the night. I also have a dog, so I guess I'm not completely alone. Butshe's not doing to well, being skin and bones. I am surprised he can even walk. I will be torn when he dies- but let's not think of that now.
The bomb wasn't supposed to be this big. In fact, it was only meant to destroy one city, which was actually abandoned, other than soldiers. Something happened though. The explosion was way larger than expected. It effected everywhere. As I said earlier, the sky is nothing but dust now, so anywhere that didn't actually explode lost any source of light, and quickly populations of plants, then animals depleted. I happened to be close enough for the explosion to cause many buildings to collapse, and in some cases earthquakes to occur. That's how powerful this thing was. It caused earthquakes.
My family was in the apartment, which collapsed immediately after the boom. I was walking the dog, in a field quite far away from the city, and that is the only reason I didn't die with them. Oh, how I wish I wasn't walking the dog. I would rather be with them, not in this Hell on earth. No one knew the explosion would effect us. Hell, this war was on the other side of the planet, and wasn't expected to effect us.

I just wrote that, out of boredom. Heh, writing post apocalypse is fun. Should I continue? ;-;
