“ If we had never met, would you still be here? ”
“It's hard and boring here without you”
“I miss you”
She looked at the clock, knowing it was becoming late and that she needed to sleep so she could go to work the next day. Yet she couldn't bring herself to sleep in the same bed where it all began and ended. She could have moved if she had wanted to, but she was still torturing her thoughts.
It was already after 2 a.m., and she was still sitting there, typing something.
For the seventh time that day, memories began to flood her mind. It irritated her since she didn't want to remember anything. She just wanted to forget about it all and live her life normally, or she wanted to remember it all and live with the memories for the rest of her life.
Finally allowing those thoughts to take control, she began to recall the beginning of everything. It all started in 2017, when she was out with her friends at a pub. She didn't like things like this since she thought they were a waste of time and money. Her parents' "narrow mindedness" was passed down to her.
"Agatha," her best friend Rebecca yelled out to gain Agatha's attention because she appeared to be lost in thought. She was worried about the month's rent that she still owed and where and how she was going to pay it. "Agatha Beckham," Rebecca yelled again, and when she didn't hear her, Rebecca gripped her shoulders like a toy and shook her hard enough to wake her up.
"God, where have you gone wrong? We're here to have fun, not to think about our troubles, aren't we?" Rebecca asked, glancing at this guy she thought was hot. "Isn't he just your type?" "The man in the black high-neck sweatshirt." So Agatha turned around to see the man staring back at her. She doesn't know how to describe his appearance; he wasn't particularly attractive, but he had that allure that will make you go crazy if you stay with him for a few moments. He appeared to be 6'2, buff, and younger than her, possibly around 21 years old.
"Go talk to him and maybe spend the night with him if you're lucky enough," Rebecca suggested, and she was nowhere to be seen, probably going out with someone to cool off.
Should she make the first move? No, that is not how it works, but it does not appear that he will come to her as well. So she gets up, walks up to him, and takes a seat on the stool near him.
Agatha adds, "Oh hey, are you alone here?" unaware that a new chapter, or perhaps a whole new novel, of her life is about to begin."On my own. Would you mind keeping me company, pretty?" says the unidentified man.
“I should have never met you”
