Camp Red Arrow

first day of camp

Camp Red Arrow. This is a place where it was safe no matter where you went. it had been like that for years until one summer. Once these kids got to the camp. Some of the same kids from last year but a whole lot of new ones. They all got put in their cabins and most stayed in there some went out to make friends from the other cabins. Someone heard a scream and it sounded like a kid's scream so another kid named Ellie ran as fast as she could to where the sound was. She saw another kid struggling against a man that no one knew.

The kid was kicking but couldn't scream anymore because the man had a hand over his mouth and then the other trying to hold her still. Ellie was scared so she hid behind a tree. She grabbed a handful of rocks and breathe. In and out. In and out. She grabbed one of the rocks but when she turned around it was too late. The man and the kid were gone into the woods that surrounded the camp.

Ellie ran back to her cabin to tell her Counselor. Once she got there. The sun was going down it was around 5:30. Ellie was dropped off and had all her stuff unpacked by 4:30 and she was outside trying to make friends. When everything happened. She was trying to comprehend what just happened so then she could tell her counselor. She finally caught her breath. In and out. In and out. She breathed. The counselor looked at her and asked. "Ellie what's wrong." Ellie then looked at her and said "a little kid was kidnapped behind the lunchroom area. I heard a kid scream so I ran over there. And I saw a man holding her with one hand over her mouth and the other trying to keep her from kicking. I ducked behind a tree. I was trying not to be seen. I was going to throw rocks but when I grabbed a few and turned around to throw them he was gone and so was the kid. He ran into the woods. I don't know how what to do so I ran back here to tell you."

"Oh my Ellie that is a very interesting story you got there, but you can't be telling me lies. Dinner is a few minutes so go and get ready." The counselor said with a smile on her face. "But it is not a story you have to believe me. Please I am not telling a lie." Ellie said almost screaming. "Whatever Ellie go and get ready." The counselor said rolling her eyes. Ellie was mad and sad that the counselor didn't believe her but Ellie went and got ready for dinner. When she was done she was met by everyone in her cabin. They all walked to the lunch area and ate dinner. Once that was done they did the flag-lowering and then they headed back to their cabin to go to bed. Once they got there they were allowed a snack and then they got their pj's on and then they all headed to bed.
