We returned to campus later in the day and went our separate ways. "Nix! How did the date go?" Evie asks. "I think it went well. We went swimming and even ate really good food. I think I got a new favourite food!" I grin "oh? What is it?" She asks "other than doughnuts it has to be strawberries. They are so good!" I grin before opening my door "oh uh family day tomorrow" I tell Evie before sliding into my dorm and getting out of my day clothes and into my nightclothes, I sneak back out and walk to the bathroom and wash up before returning to bed.

The following day, I woke up to a bunch of flowers in my room by my own mother. "good morning! I got you a perfect outfit ready for today. The time is 7:30 and the fairy godmother has a surprise for you and the other VKs, as you call yourselves." She smiles. "oh! I also got your breakfast from a cafe." I sit up and take the breakfast and devour it. "how was the date? Did you go swimming?" I nod "yeah, it was cool. " I get up and get dressed in the dress my mother brought with her and then she braids my hair into a Dutch bun

"Blue on blue, no surprise there" I sigh as I spin around before putting on my small heeled boots and we leave the dorms "you look beautiful either way" I roll my eyes as we walk to room 101 - remedial goodness where the others were "Children, excuse me. Um, as you know, uh, this Sunday is family day here at Auradon Prep. And because your parents can't be here due to, uh, distance, we've arranged for a special treat." Fairy Godmother says whilst my mother and I stand not too far behind them "I doubt Hades would be in the same room" she whispers and I just nod as the screen turns in to reveal Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, Jafar and Evil Queen "I don't see anything, nor do I hear." Maleficent groans "Kids!" Fairy godmother announces "Is it... is it... is..." "Press enter." Jafar suggests "Can I please see a remote? Is this thing on? Ugh, It's broken. Ugh! I hate electronic equipment... Oh!" Maleficent gaps "Evie, It's mommy. Oh! Look how beautiful. Oh, you know what they say, the poison apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Evil Queen coos "Don't you mean the weeds?" "Ooh! Who's the old bat?" Cruella asks "This is Fairy Godmother." Mal sighs "Still doing tricks with eggplants?" Maleficent asks "I turned a pumpkin into a beautiful carriage." Fairy godmother smiles "You really couldn't give Cinderella till one A.M.? I mean, really. What, the hamsters had to be back on their little wheels?" Maleficent asks "oh god" I sigh "They were mice! They were not... they were mice. They were not..." "You should comfort her," I tell my mom who walks towards Fairy godmother "Thank you so much. Thank you." Mal speaks up "They were mice." Fairy godmother calls "Hi, mom." Mal says to the screen as a step forwards "Mal! I m-m-miss you." Maleficent stutters "You children are never far from our thoughts." Jafar smiles "I got it." "How long must mommy wait to see you?" Maleficent asks "Um, there's a big coronation coming up. I think sometime probably after... that." Mal shrugs "When?" Mal looks at me "Friday, 10 A.M." I sigh "You sure I can't see you before that? I don't know what I'll do If I don't get my hands on that magic wan... you... you little nugget that I love so much... Wait who is she, Mal?" "Yes, I completely understand, mother. And this is Nitix, Nix for short, Hades' daughter. Her mother's here but I think Hades will be on soon, I dunno" Mal shrugs "hi Nix, um tell us about yourself" Evil Queen smiles "I dunno what there is to say, I was born on the isle, my non-biological mother is here with me today, she's called Persephone, one of the Greek goddesses and I'm dating a Prince called Ben. The one who invited the 5 of us here" I smile "Evie she's doing better than you! She's dating a Prince!" EQ squeals "I had a prince but he dumped me for a princess" Evie huffs "Carlos, is that a dog? Oh, yes, yes, baby, I do understand. It would make the perfect size for earmuffs." Cruella grins "He's the perfect size for a pet." Carlos defends Dude "Oh!" Cruella gasps "This dog loves me, and I love him. And FYI, your dog is stuffed!" Carlos tells his mother "Oh!" "So give it a rest!" "Oh-ho! Burn!" Jafar pipes up "Oh! Why don't you go sell a toaster, you two-bit salesman!" "People who talk to stuffed animals shouldn't throw stones." "Oh, well, people who sell toasters shouldn't use mixed metaphors. Enough!" The TV gets turned off "I'm so sorry." Fairy godmother sighs "Thanks for the special treat." Jay shrugs before 4 of the VKs leave "I have managed to get through to Hades but he seems to not be in the best of moods, would you still like to try to speak with him?" "Oh we can change that just like I made Cerberus small by accident" she laughs placing him down and he returns to normal dog height for Earth's standards "alright..." We watch as she fiddles with something before the TV turns on again revealing Hades who appears to be sleeping. "Hades? Darling are you still alive?" Persephone asks startling him "Persephone?" He asks walking over to the screen "hi darling" she waves "hey. Hi Cerberus, who's my favourite boy?" He asks the dog only to get back from all three heads "yes that's right, it's you. How are you Nix?" I hold a straight face as I take note of being the least of his worries "just fine. I have a boyfriend, not like you'd care" I sigh "what have I told you about dating?" I shrug "not to date anyone! Who is it anyway?!" He demands "Prince Ben, he's soon to be King this Friday" he raises an eyebrow "lucky for some. Just wait until he sees our domain, he'll be running leaving you in the dirt" I shake my head "he wouldn't! He loves me and I think I love him even though I've never learnt how to recognize love" I firmly say with a glare "right... Oh Nix, punch Zeus for me the second you see him. Punch him real hard and start training with Aries or Athena" "of course father. I have a question concerning my twin" I then say "what is it?" "Will she also be a princess of the underworld?" "No. Not while Maleficent stands, until then I refuse to acknowledge she is my daughter even if she knows I'm her father. The less she knows about me the better" I nod "of course father, well I need to go, I hope to see you soon"
