Chapter 11: A New Mission

Armin's pod is floating through the vast cosmos of space until suddenly the pod he is combusts into flames, Armin looks around as the Earth's surface gets closer to him. He had just entered the atmosphere, he looks around to see if he would land on surface or water, if he lands in water, he's done.

He looks below him out the pods main window and see's he's about to crash land somewhere he had never seen before, the landscape was almost city-like. He hears a loud

*CRASH*

As his pod hits the city floor, as he kicks open the pod's door he is greeted with emptiness, nothing in sight, either they ran away at the sight of his pod landing or they were wiped out by 'something'

Near him he saw a large vast wall made from bricks and large metal scraps, each little scrap piece is hanging on by one screw, he stands up onto his feet, and a sense of dizziness overcame him.

Underneath the large wall is a door system, each door covered with clearance keycard access they read "Luminato+" meaning you have to be a Luminato or above to enter through the doors, Armin sighed as he started to look around for a communicator, as he sees one in the corner of his eye, he sprints towards it, taking the phone of its handle he dials the numbers 6-4-0-3-3-0-4-6-1-2-0 the numbers to call the Greenville hospital (where Mave is kept) to contact Robin.

The phone slowly rings before the sound stops and Armin shouts down the phone "Hello? Is this Robin?"

He got a reply of "Yeah? Who's this?"

Armin smiles as he says "it's Armin Kazuwinchi, the missions done, I'm the last one alive but Daven and the Super AI are dead, we did it sir"

The phone went silent as Armin followed up with, "I have no clue where I am, use my tracker to find me, send a group to my location and bring me to base!"

Then the answer he got was "Sure thing, we'll send a medic team too" Armin replied with "perfect" and hung up the phone returning it to its handle.

*At the Greenville hospital*

Robin leans over to Mave as he puts his phone down on the metal tray next to him and says "Mave, we did it, Daven's dead, we're free"

Mave slumps up his head slowly and replies back with "we're not free... yet...."

"Like how?" Robin asks

"Well.... Cantecra.... Its seventh type.... Cantecra Z it's called... You'll have to deal with it, here are the coordinates, I have to rest now, goodbye" Mave slumps his head back again and hands Robin a piece of paper with coordinates written on it, Robin holds Mave's hand as Mave closes his eyes and takes his last breath...

Robin let's go of Mave's hand and leaves the hospital room while frantically trying to call Armin who he assumes is waiting for the group (that he has yet to call) to take him back to base.

The phone starts dialing, a long pause before a soft "hello?" Is heard, Robin smiles in glee as he says "We've got new intel on a new mission, once you get back to base, listen the hell up"

"Uhm, okay? I don't know why we have a new mission already, Im traumatized sir!" Armin replies

Robins smile turns Into a deep frown as he speaks up through the phone "sorry, to say but, Mave has passed away, he gave me a coordinate sheet for our next mission, don't let him down soldier!"

A long pause full of silence fills the air as Armin tries to process that his Mave is gone, Mave had ruled over his father for years, until he went missing while fighting Cantecra. No one knows what happened to him, but Armin believes it was kept a secret by the men he worked with who suddenly passed away due to Daven's antics, which had killed them all in the year 2288 March 14th. Only their skeletons were remained and the scientist found a weird green mucus, and after that, they went missing too, it was a real mystery and then a cave showed up underground in an iron mineshaft unexpectedly.

Armin finally snapped back into reality and softly replied "y-yes sir, I understand" and then Armin hangs up the phone and leans against a mouldy brick wall and falls down to the group on his knees, tears flowing out of his eyes as he tries to keep silent and not wail in sadness....
