Tuesday, I got into the office and did what I need to. It's Christmas season, and the company's busier than usual.
"Miss Vaux, you have a meeting with the executives at 9am" my secretary spoke, standing at the door.
"What else is in my schedule?" I asked,
"Meeting with the fashion department. Right after that, meeting with the jewelry department" she replied, I nodded.
"You got the a whole day full of meetings, Miss Vaux" she added, I sigh.
"I'll be in the conference room in few minutes" I spoke, it's 8:55am. I need to breathe first before I set myself into meetings.
At the conference room, full of executives, my dad and my brothers were here too.
It's about the sales and progress of the company. The rankings from other brands, and the losses.
"There's a proposed new independent store that will be located near the center mall, but no approval was received from the firm department" Yves spoke,
"I did not receive any proposal about that" I replied, raising a brow.
"Let me check first" he spoke then get his phone,
"Would there be a budget for it?" I spoke, looking at dad.
"It has been in the plan, so of course there's a budget for new stores" dad replied, I'm just making sure.
"The jewelry department have more losses than the clothing department. What should we about that then?" I spoke,
"A new collection is in the process, and it will be released at the month of love. The promotion will start at January" one from the jewelry department spoke,
"So, it has the advantage for people who would want to buy jewelry for their loved ones. Was it?" I spoke, they nodded.
"How about the clothing department?" I spoke, looking at André
"New collection is ongoing, so no plans to make a new one till few months later" he replied, I nodded.
"Excuse me, about the proposal, the team overlooked the emails. The proposal was sent today" Yves spoke, I nodded.
"I'll look at it after the meeting" I spoke, he nodded.
"Any words from you, Dad?" I spoke, turning at my Dad.
"Well, the company is doing good despite the decrease of sales in the jewelry department, and that's normal in businesses." he spoke, I nodded.
"Let's keep on improving and doing our best. Everyone is our target customer but not everyone will appreciate our products and services. Accept and move on. Do better" he spoke,
"Good work everyone" he continued, and standing up. Then, this meeting ends.
"Thank you for the hard work. Our meeting ends here" I spoke, leaving the conference room.
I went back to my office to check my emails, I saw the proposal from Yves.
The location is along the alley of cafes and restaurants but it's two minutes walk from the center mall. This alley is a busy one no matter the time.
