"Right. First we need to find a place to practice where Umbridge won't find out," Harry said as we made our way back to Hogwarts.

"The Shrieking Shack," Hermione said.

"It's too small," Harry said.

"Forbidden Forest?" Ginny suggested.

"Not bloody likely," Ron said.

"Harry, what happens if Umbridge does find out?" Ginny said.

"Who cares? I mean, it's sort of exciting, isn't it, breaking the rules?" Hermione said.

"Who are you and what have you done with Hermione Granger?" I said hugging her.

"Anyway, at least we know one positive thing that came from today," Hermione said.

"What's that?" Ron said.

"Cho couldn't take her eyes off you, could she?" Hermione said looking at Harry.

"Right. Over the next few days, we should each come up with a couple of possibilities of places we can practice. We've got to make sure, wherever it is, there's no chance she can find us," Harry said.

"Will do, Harry," Ginny said.

"Roger that," I said.

It took a few days of searching for a useful spot I had a few potential ideas but once I saw the foot traffic after classes were out I gave up that was until Neville.

"You've done it, Neville. You found the Room of Requirement," Hermione said.

"The what?" Ron said.

"It's also known as the Come and Go Room. The Room of Requirement only appears when a person has real need of it. And it's always equipped for the seeker's needs," I said.

"So say you really needed the toilet..." Ron said.

"Charming, Ronald. But, yes, that is the general idea," Hermione said.

"It's brilliant. It's like Hogwarts wants us to fight back," Harry said.

Harry explained how this was going to work until he said that I would be taking charge as the most experienced and talented wizard.

"Okay well since I was just put in charge we'll start with the basics," I said.

I had them all line up in pairs in front of a dummy with a wand all they had to do was disarm it they were confused until they realized just how difficult it actually was. I had to split up the kids into Three groups beginners, apprentices and Adept to make it easier for me to teach different things at once. I put Harry in charge of the beginners and apprentices since they needed help with the simplest of spells and Harry could easily teach them. As for those who showed skill I decided to teach them how to actually block a spell as I threw spells at them wordlessly. Once the lesson was over for the day a few had warmed up to me and even thanked me for the help and by the time we were back at the common room the three were looking at me oddly.

"Something wrong," I said.

"Yeah when the hell were you going to tell us you could do wordless magic," Hermione said.

"Oh well I learnt over the summer," I said.

"And you didn't say anything," Hermione said

"Well we were a little preoccupied," I said.

"I know but..." Hermione said.

"How about this while Harry teaches you all defensive magic I can teach you wordless magic," I said.

"Sounds good to me," Ron said.

Over the next few days, I was working with my group on a few ways to counter spells I had them practice on one another. Things were going well everyone was improving fast as the lessons progressed we had to get more careful with keeping it secret. It was a little fun sneaking around what we weren't expecting was for Umbridge to suspend all other clubs for whatever reason. As luck would have it quidditch was not one well it was but we got it back purely sport based so even as the rest of the year darkens we still have sports as a ray of light.

"So these prefect duties kicking your ass," I said as me and Hermione walked down the hall side by side.

"I could handle it better if you were with me," Hermione said.

"I know but maybe I will be on next year," I said.

"You think this nightmare will be over next year," Hermione said.

"I always hold out hope I'm optimistic like that," I said.

"I know sometimes I feel like your optimism is the only thing keeping me sane," Hermione said kissing me.

"Ehem," The sound of the troll was heard from behind.

"Something I can help you with," I said.

"You know the rules about the distance from the opposite sex Mr Riddle," Umbridge said.

"Firstly it's L/N, not Riddle the circumstance of my birth have nothing to do with the name I chose and secondly Hermione is my girlfriend, not just a friend," I said.

"Firstly apologies Mr L/N and secondly the level or status of the relationship does not change the rules," Umbridge said.

I know that fighting against her here would just lead to a painful detention so I just stayed quiet till she was gone.

"So we can't even kiss in the halls," Hermione said.

"Then why don't we go somewhere she won't find us," I said.

"I get she can't go there but the common room isn't exactly private," Hermione said.

"I didn't say the common room," I said giving her a wink.

"Really," Hermione said.

"Why not I would say our situation was a call for real need," I said.

"Fine but later after the final session before Christmas, toad face kind of killed the mood," Hermoine said.

"Agreed," I said.

"So what now," Hermione said.

"Dinner," I said offering my hand to her and she took it with a smile.
