4. Bad blood

The elevator dinged. They've arrived at their destination. Tess got out of the elevator and looked back to see a frozen tun. He couldn't move or talk.
This is why he thought this man reminded him of Tess. Is that why the tess in the other universe seemed different?

"Hey... Dude. You okay?"

Tun still stood like a statue. Tess got inside the elevator again and dragged tun out of it.

Tun opened the door of his apartment. Still shocked that he is letting this man come inside his house again. When tess hurt him he swore that he'll never get close to him but here they are. Tess invited Himself in and walked inside with his shoes on.

"Hey take off your shoes. You got no manners. "

"Oh sorry. It's Just in our universe I was kind of rich so... Never had to take my shoes off. "

Tess kindly took his shoes off and sat on the couch. Tun was feeling really uncomfortable. Tun was surprised to see tess doing what he asked for. I guess he tamed Himself now that he has nothing.

"Want something to drink?"

"Just water, please. It was hard to get you out of there"

"By the way why did you save me and why were you there? I don't think you are a fan."
Tun walked to the kitchen while talking.

"I'm not but Talay's friend it. This guy only has 1 girl in his life. And she's not even my type" tess rolled his eyes. Sounding irritated. Tun smiled sadly. Knowing exactly what Tess's personality is. A playboy. He gave tess his water and sat down on the opposite couch.

"So... You are tess and your name is talay here. "

"Yes. This talay guy is a colourist. I tried to keep his job but I Don't know anything about colouring so I quit. I hope I didn't ruin Talay's reputation that much. It was a losing game. Now I'm unemployed. That's why I went with Talay's friend to the airport and got squished by the crowd. I Didn't save you. I saved myself. I almost fell so I just held someone that had to be you. And I had to get out so I just chose to take you out too. Don't get the wrong idea" actually he saved Tun because of the things he read in Talay's diary. He remembered his name puen. And thought it would be fun to mess around with this guy. But too bad this guy is also from his universe.

" I'm gay but that doesn't mean I always get the wrong idea. Yuck! " tun was busy fake throwing up but tess threw a question at him.

"What's your name? I know about puen because of that friend. So Let's skip that part. Tell me about you"

Tun stopped whatever he was doing and looked everywhere but tess.
"Umm... You do not know me."

Tess scoffed and said
"Of Course. Now please tell me your name"

"I don't want to"

"Why"

"Get out of my house"

"Excuse me! "

Tess was puzzled by tun. But he wasn't gonna get out of this house without knowing this mysterious man.

"I'm not comfortable with you anymore "

Tess didn't Like studying but he surely was smart. He caught that the man in front of him might be someone that he has bad blood with and didn't want to face him.

"Okay then let's play a game. I'll try to guess your name and you'll just say yes or no. "

Tess started to play without waiting for tun's answer. After 10-15 minutes, tess was getting tired.

"Oh gosh! At this point, I named everyone I know."

"I told you I don't know you"

"Maybe you are lily!"

"I'm a man"

"Maybe you are tun!"

"WHAT! HOW-NO!"

tess was surprised by tun's scream. He now knows who this man is. This man is his dear ex-best friend. Tun was stunned and knew that his stupid reaction gave everything away. Tess was stunned knowing Tun is here too. That means he has an accident or got hurt. He was worried.

"Ohh... Tun... How did you come here Though ? "

"..."

" I came here 4 months ago how about you?"

"..."

"Did you meet that talay guy? Maybe he wanted to talk to you but he Didn't get the chance because of what I did. "

"Correct"

Tun finally told the truth. Tun looked like he could cry any moment but he wasn't ready to look weak.

" I fucking hate you. You know that?"

"Is it too late now to say sorry?"
Tun had guilt in his voice

" yes it fucking is "
Tun stood up and screamed. Tess knew that it was late to say sorry. And he didn't deserve forgiveness. But he needed tun to stay sane in this insane universe.

Tess lowered his head in shame and let tun calm down. Tun sat back down.

"Get out tess. I hate you so much"

"I know tun... I know... But can you hear my explanation? "

" no, I don't want to"

"Please tun-" tun stood up and walked to the bedroom and shut the door. Not caring about Tess in his apartment. Tess pulled his hair frustratingly. 5 hours passed by and tess was still in tun's apartment waiting to apologise again. Tun finally opened the door. His eyes were blood-red and puffy. It was clear that he cried badly.

Tess ran to him and kneeled. Tun got startled but kept a straight face.

"Tun please listen to me once. After that, if you don't want me here. I'll go away. We'll never meet even after we go back home. I promise. "

Tun remembered that he has to find someone to go back home. So he nodded his head and walked to the kitchen to grab a water bottle. Tess stood beside him and started talking.

" tun... I was young and stubborn okay? I am sorry for what I did... I dated your best friend after you confessed to me that was a very poor move of mine. I'm ashamed of that. If I was in our universe I would still like to apologise because something in me had changed... I wanted to talk to you that's why I've been trying to talk to you but you ignored me. I am not homophobic anymore... Even... I think I might be pansexual. I was always immature and you know it right?"

Flashback

Tun and tess have been friends their entire high school era. They were a duo that no one could separate. It was their last day of school and tun decided that he was gonna confess his love for tess. He has been in love with his best friend and he didn't want to hide it anymore.

Tun called tess to their usual hiding spot which was the rooftop. Tun's palm was sweating and he was nervous. It's not easy to confess when that confession is towards your best friend.

Tess arrived and ran to him. He gave him a high five. Tess immediately knew something was wrong. Tun was shaking.

"What happened tuntun?

" tess I have something to say to you"

"I'm in all ears"

"Um... It's that... I... Wanted to say... You see... Uh... I like you"

"Yes, dude. I know it. I like you too that's why we are best friends. "

"No tess... Not that kind of like... "

"Yo- wait! Really! You were gay this whole time?! I can't believe it! Haha dude no offence but I'm not into that kinda stuff "

And tess ran away from the rooftop laughing. Tun couldn't believe what his best friend of so many years just told him. He couldn't believe tess was that kind of person. Homophobic? Tess? No, he can't be... Tess had always been good to him... Maybe not to Others but to him, tess was amazing. How could he?

Tun walked down the stairs and saw something that he never wanted to see.

Tun's other best friend pink and tess kissing... Tun ran to their classroom wanting to end everything. Thankfully the day ended and they didn't talk to each other after that.
