Grayson and I were sitting in my room. I was laughing at something he said, but really I wasn't really listening. I was way to busy just staring at his icy blue eyes, and his defined jaw.
Turns out, Grayson isn't as bad as I thought. He's actually good company.
I heard the door open from down stairs and a "Hello!" Coming from I think Isaac.I groaned. "Shit. Now they're gonna bug me about why you're in their house." I said to Grayson. He smirked and shrugged. "Oh well. It'd be cool to meet some more people anyway." He said casually. I rubbed my eyes and walked out of the door, Grayson following behind.
"Hey Alli. What's going-" His words got cut short when Grayson appeared beside me. "Oh." Isaac said, his eyes flaring with a little bit of confusion while gazing at me. I played a small safe smile.
I cleared my throat. "Isaac, Grayson. Grayson, Isaac." I said to break the silence. Isaac gave a slight nod in Grayson's direction. "May I ask what he's doing in here?" Isaac asked taking a sideway glance over at Grayson. "Uhh, Yeah. He's um-" I stuttered. Grayson jumped in.
"I took her home, considering she had no one to take her. I came in for a bit afterwards." He said smoothly. God, I was the worst at talking to Isaac about this sort of stuff. It's not like Grayson and I did anything wrong, and I had something to actually hide from Isaac. It's just Isaac takes things the complete wrong way."Right. Well thanks for taking her home, nice meeting you Grayson. Maybe even see you at school." Isaac said through a light smile, while at holding his hand out. Grayson grabbed it and shook firmly. "Anytime." Grayson winked at me. I rolled my eyes and shoved him in the side. He chuckled and started to make his way down the steps.
"Hey! Guys! Why are we so quiet?" Ethan came bouncing around the corner and stopped short at when he saw Grayson. He had no shirt on and some basketball shorts on. "Gray! Man, what are you doing here?" Ethan smiled and does one of those boy handshakes with Grayson. It was so clear that Ethan was definitely the most laid back out of all of us..
I wondered how they already knew each other, but then remembered when I saw them two at lunch today. Grayson laughed. "I was just leaving man." He said. Ethan shook his head. "No! Why not just stay for a little?" Ethan asked with a grin on his face. Grayson shook his head. "Nah, it's cool. I can come over anytime, I'm right next door anyway. Mom probably wants me anyway." He said and grinned. "Seeya later though." He stole one more glance at Isaac and then at me and smiled, before shutting the door close behind him.
Isaac turned to me, with a curious look on his face. "Care to explain?" He asked. I sighed. "Isaac, it went exactly how he said. I didn't have a ride, so he took me." I said getting irritated. Why does he always have to know everything? Ethan came galloping up the stairs to us. He clamped a hand on Isaac's shoulder. "Zac, he's a good kid. You really have to stop worrying about Alli and just let her do what she wants to do." Ethan said soft but stern.
"Thank you." I muttered under my breath.
"Fine." Isaac huffed and threw his hands up in the air. "She's gonna get hurt, though. That's the only reason why I want to protect her from players like him." He turned to look at me. I couldn't believe what he was saying. He thought we were together?"What? Isaac we're just friends! Not even that, I've known him for not even one day!" I exclaimed.
"That didn't stop you from getting a ride from him, did it?" Isaac returned getting slightly angry."What was I supposed to do? Walk home in the boiling heat because no one else could have got me?" I said my voice slightly raising. Isaac just shook his head and laughed.
"God Alli! You said you didn't even know him! I would have just walked home instead of going with someone I just met!"
"Zac. We both know that's a lie." Ethan spoke up. Isaac looked at him smugly and turned away. He slammed his bedroom door behind him. "Well.. That actually went better then expected." Ethan said and I groaned in frustration. I sat down on the edge of the stairs and put my face in my hands.
I hated fighting with Isaac. Even just little fights like this. We hardly ever fought and the thought of fighting made me feel sick. Ethan sat next to me and patted my shoulder. "He's not bad you know. Grayson. He seems like a good bloke." Ethan said to me. I ignored him and let out another sigh, this one of tiredness.
"You know, today, without knowing I was your sister, he asked me about you. Pointed you out. Asked if I knew you. I played along and said sort of, said I had only heard of you. He asked whether he should ask you if you wanted to go somewhere with him one night, and I said yeah you should, why not? He agreed and went off to talk to you."
Ethan said. This really happened? He asked about me?
Ethan continued. "What did you say? He didn't tell." He asked. I sighed.
"I said yes. I mean, why not?" I chuckled using Ethan's words. He smiled and gave me a side on hug. "Good girl. 'Bout time you spend some time with another guy other then those two friends of yours." Ethan replied."Hey what's wrong with Lauchie and Jake?" I exclaimed. Ethan laughed and shook his head. "Nothing Alli, just good to meet someone different." He winked. I groaned and pushed him. I got up and entered my room and collapsed on my bed. Just thinking about everything with Grayson, Isaac and Saturday night.
To be honest, I couldn't wait.
