I fiddled with my contraption nervously outside the Drum Major's warehouse. I was trying to set the time on that thing. Cicile, Brittany, and Jenny were taking cover way across the lot while I waited for the perfect time to place my bomb in the victim's headquarters.

I decided to set the time for thirty seconds. That would give me enough time to reach Cicile and the two other girls just before it blew up.

I was listening closely to the Conversation being said in there.

"With these Wood Splits, I will destroy the Conductor and rule the universe!" said a certain voice that seemed to be the Drum Major's. "The last thing left to do is find the Conductor and kill him off."

"How are we going to find him in the mess of people outside?" asked one of her ghostly assistants.

"You're going to look for him."

"How are we going to transport the Wood Splits into town?" asked another.

"You're not." I chuckled underneath my breath. I whipped around and placed the bomb just inside the doorway, pressing the button to activate it and bolting down the lot. I could see Jenny, Cicile, and Brittany as my mark for glory, signaling me with their hands to hurry up and head in their direction.

I leaped over the small barricade and greeted my partners just in time to watch the fireworks. I excitedly screamed with my comrades as the warehouse burst into flames.

"We did it!" I screamed.

"You did it, not us!" Brittany laughed.

The flames slowly died. All evidence of the Drum Major ever being there was gone. The warehouse, the guards, even the Drum Major had disappeared.

"Well, we'd better get outta here before the cops show up." Cicile warned.

"Good idea." Jenny agreed.

We ran to the wall of another warehouse where I activated my baton and we jumped in.

It was good to be home.
