{HIATUS} Hardly Robotic [Glamrock Freddy x Reader]

I'm not too sure how many times I've fallen asleep in Freddy's green room now, but I'm certain this wouldn't be the last. It felt like a short nap, but long enough for me to feel refreshed as I woke up in his arms. "Good morning," Freddy whispered before planting a small kiss on the top of my head. I smiled at the gentle wake-up call and leaned my head back to look at him "G'morning," I hummed. "What time is it?"

"Time to knock off the lovey-dovey before you two get caught." I nearly jumped out of my skin at the sound of Vanessa's voice, standing at the entrance of Freddy's room with the door just closing behind her. 

"Jesus, how are you so quiet?!" I practically shout at her, my heart pumping so fast I could feel it against my chest. Vanessa then held her keys up and jiggled them around to show off the little rabbit's foot Keychain attached to them, I got it for her birthday as a joke (albeit a pretty messed up one) but still, she kept it.

"Freddy, you can let go of them now, not a threat," she said. It took me a second to realize that Freddy had pulled me closer to him when Vanessa barged in, his arms were wrapped around my waist tightly, sort of shielding me. "O-oh, right," he mumbled before slowly loosening his hold on me. "Come on, customers are gonna start coming in soon so, better wrap things up quickly," Vanessa said as she left the room. 

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention employee attendance was mandatory, something about keeping the work environment fun. So poor Vanessa not only had to work the night shift last night but she's gotta be awake for the anniversary party too, good thing Gregory was coming later after school so she didn't have to worry about him being home alone.

Freddy and I shared a look before finally moving, him sitting up on the couch, and me, sliding off of his lap. "Save me a dance?" he said after a beat of silence. I stopped straightening out my clothes and looked at him with curiosity, "There's gonna be dancing?" Freddy looked embarrassed, he avoided looking at me while stuttering out,  "Well, no. But I was hoping... I mean, it is a special event, after all." I was surprised, "You and me? Dancing? While the Pizzaplex is open?" He was easily flustered when it came to displaying affection, not only that, there's also the whole 'animatronic bear with a human' thing.

I snapped out of my train of thought and realized that I never answered. "Uh, yeah..! Yeah, yes! We can dance! After your performance?" Freddy's ears wiggled around like bobbleheads during a bumpy car ride, a clear sign of how happy he was. "Perfect."

Suddenly, there was a knock on the glass wall of the room, it was Vanessa again, she gave me a look that said 'hurry up' before leaving once more. My face grew hot from embarrassment as I hurriedly grabbed my things "Could you make sure that the band is ready while I do some final checks?" I heard Freddy make a sound of acknowledgment as I made my way to the employee's door. "Oh, wait! One more thing," Freddy stopped me. I turned to him as I was halfway through the door "Yeah?" A gentle, metallic kiss was planted at the top of my head "You look amazing." I smiled up at the bear as he ushered me out the door.

The animatronic was internally freaking out as you left his green room. A dance in the middle of the day? In front of countless customers and Fazbear employees? What, was he dying? They just looked so beautiful in that outfit, something inside me kept yelling to show them off to the world. He's not usually so rash, Freddy's the type to think before he acts, but when it comes to you, he can't help himself. It couldn't be instinct, it's not like he's a real bear. He pushed those thoughts aside, shaking his head to clear his mind. Best not to think too hard about that, instead he was going to gather up his friends to get ready for showtime.

In the time I've spent as the animatronics' technician, I eventually learned the ins and outs of the stage equipment and their instruments, I'm basically their manager at this point. (Fazbear Entertainment, blurring the job titles of its employees since 1980.) But anyways, after making sure that everything onstage and offstage was working perfectly, I headed back to Parts and Service for one last check on the bots before they tend to the customers.

A quick scan using the console showed that all the animatronics were in good shape, no faulty parts and no foreign code in sight, from what the Pizzaplex's systems could tell at least. Then again, it's not like the systems detected the last time something was making the animatronics act weird. I shook my head to get rid of my anxious thoughts. You know what? Even if something did go wrong, it's nothing I can't handle! After all, I did it before. Taking a deep breath after my mini internal pep talk, I looked at my reflection in the protective glass with confidence. "No matter what happens today, I can handle it." Including dancing with Freddy in front of a bunch of customers, my coworkers, and my boss. Before I could spiral into another anxious train of thought, the Dread Unit welcomed the first customers coming into the Mega Pizzaplex. "Right, I can worry about that later," I mumbled to myself.

After one last look at my reflection to make sure I still looked nice to be out and about during the celebrations, I walked through the double doors leading to the stage elevator. "Hey gang, just wanted to wish you all good luck before I met up with 'Ness upstairs." Robots programmed to perform onstage didn't really need a 'good luck', but it's the thought that counts.  Plus, it was nice seeing them all well-dressed. "Thanks, Superstar," Bonnie said before reaching for my head. I took a step back and wagged my finger at him, already knowing that he was about to ruffle up my hair. "Ah-ah! I just fixed it, at least let me look nice for the boss."

A/N: What do you mean I changed the title of this chapter? IDK what you're talking about. Anyways, I think I'm getting back into the swing of things cause the next chapter is coming soon. Like honestly. Who knows if this momentum will last but let's all enjoy it!
