Chapter 9

It was two weeks later and I had taken a training session every day (save for Sundays) and I was completely worn out. Today was a Saturday and Blake had decided to give me a day off because of all my 'hard work'.

It felt so good to finally relieve the stress of the daily intense physical workout. So, I had agreed to meet with Matt for a movie marathon in my room. Even though we hadn't even picked what sort of marathon we should have yet. I had gone and asked Ms Dunce to prepare lots of popcorn and delicious treats for us. Now I was tucked up on my bed reading a book, while I waited for Matt to arrive.

Moments later I hear his step on the hallway carpet and I set my book down on my bedside table. It's funny how I'm already so used to the people in my new home. I think I could come to really enjoy my new life.

There was a knock on the door. "Come in!" I yelled.

I turned my head as the door opened and in came Matt holding two large bowls of popcorn, pretzels, lollies and a whole bunch of other unhealthy but delicious snacks.

"Let's get this party started!" He grinned at me before kicking the door closed with his foot.

"Hey Matt." I jumped off my bed and helped him with the food. Once we were settled we decided to pick a movie.

"Well, I think we should definitely have a Star Wars marathon." Matt cries.

"No, a Hunger Games marathon!"

"Uh, uh. We should watch Marvel movies!"

"The Lords of the Rings and the Hobbit movies please!" I argue back.

"How about... DC!"

"Disney movies!"

"Ok, wait." He pauses our loud commotion. "Maybe..."

"HARRY POTTER!" We both burst out at the same time.

We collapse with a pile of giggles before I command the TV to start playing Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

The next day after 20 hours of watching all the Harry Potter movies I slept in until five o'clock in the evening. I was still completely exhausted and when I woke there was a special surprise under the blankets next to me.

"Shoot. Please don't tell me it's Matt." I muttered.

Sure enough Matt was snoring right in my bed. Ugh.

"Matt Henderson! Get up!" I yelled right next to his ear.

"Who in the wor―" He broke up as he saw me sitting next to him. "Jesus woman, you're going to make me deaf."

"Yeah, you deserved it. Now get out of my room, Mister."

"Whatever." He paused in the middle of getting out of bed. "Wait, did I sleep with you, in your bed, last night?!"

I rolled my eyes. "What does it look like, moron? Now leave."

"Weird." He muttered as he left. "Why would I do that? Stupid Matt."

"Stupid indeed." I smiled. The door slammed shut behind him and I started to get ready for the day.

Whoosh! My arrow landed in the red circle.

"YES!" I shouted.

"Well done." Blake praised me. "Now, maybe you should get it in the yellow circle."

"Yeah, yeah. I'm getting there."

I notch another arrow in and just when I let it go I hear a shout and my arrow goes completely off target.

"Guys, I found her." I heard Matt crying out loud. "Whoah! Watch out!"

Bam! It landed in the wooden wall right above a red haired girl's head.

I stood there panting and staring at the girl. "Who are you?" We both ask at the same time.
