Moondrop POV
It's been four months since (Y/n) was able to talk now it was time to try to get her to walk. I flipped through the parenting manual I had bought and found that there are two ways to get her start walking.
One manual help her until she's use to it. Two encourage her until she gets up on her own.
I tried the first one, I picked up her little arms until it was just her feet on the ground.
" Okay Starlight, let's take this one step at a time, literally " I said, whispering the last part.
I tried helping her get her foot in front of the other slowly and carefully. (Y/n) looked up and giggled, probably not knowing or caring what was going on.
After helping (Y/n) practice walking for over twenty minutes I decided to slowly let go. I watched eagerly as
(Y/n) was about to-
Thud !
Fall. She fell and immediately started crying.
" Oh no, my little Starlight ! It's okay, your alright !" I said getting on my knees and holding her close to me.
" Shh (Y/n), your okay, you just fell"
Slowly but surely (Y/n) stopped crying and fell asleep. After a little while, I tried the other method. I gently set (Y/n) down on the floor and moved a little bit away from her.
" Okay (Y/n) come over here, come to Papa !" I said. (Y/n) tilted her head and looked at me in confusion, then she looked at the ground. She pushed her little arms against the ground as hard as she could.
She was trying to stand up !
" Yeah that's it (Y/n) ! Get up you can do it ! Come over here !" I said. ( Y/n) took a bit but eventually stood up. She's standing..SHE'S STANDING ! ALL ON HER OWN !!
(Y/n) looked down at her feet surprised that she stood up, she looked up at me with a big smile, she put one foot in front of the other, slowly and steadily. She kept walking until she stopped in front of me and hugged me. I picked her up.
" You walked ! YOU WALKED ! Papa's so proud !" I said.
" Papa..prou !" (Y/n) said.
