Chapter 12: On His Own

Currently, everyone was inside the ballroom listening to Delta's explanation of what Hollow had told him.

Delta: From what I can understand, Hollow is a robot that wants to destroy all life in the world. He wants to unseal a beast call Regnar. This would be the second time that it's been released upon this world.

Sting: So, how was it defeated the first time?

Dehya: My mother and Delta's mother had teamed up to fight against it. Unfortunately, my mother was killed while fighting it.

Delta: My mother gave up her life to use a spell that would seal away Regnar. In order for someone to actually break it, they would require a massive amount of magic and a spell that can both negate and destroy sealing spells.

Gajeel: Ok then, so how do we stop the seal from being broken?

Delta: Hollow specifically said that the only to to stop it is to destroy him.

Dehya: Bastard must've used Body-Link magic.

Olivia: It's most likely that since his a robot, he has a core. The core should be his weak spot and whoever ends up fighting him should aim for it.

Kagura: Any idea where this core is?

Dehya: The core is in his head. However, it is extremely small so hitting it will not be an easy task.

Delta: Do you think he can shift the position of the core?

Olivia: It's possible.

Lucy: How is he going to free Regnar?

Delta: The only way to bring it here is to use the Eclipse Gate.

Suddenly, a lacrima that was in Delta's pocket started to glow a little. He excused himself and walked to the bathroom before answering the call.

Lahar: Delta, are you available at the moment?

Delta: Yeah, I'm free. I assum this has to die with what's going on in Crocus right?

Lahar: Yes, the Council wants you to take care of the situation. But....

Delta: But what?

Lahar: They....*sighs* agreed that they want you to do it by yourself. Gran said that it was to reduce the casualties that may occur, but you and I both know that he just doesn't want Fairy Tail to get involved.

Delta: So specifically, they want me to stop Regnar from being freed and to destroy the Eclipse Gate so that it can never be used again right?

Lahar: That's correct.

Delta: *sighs* Fine. But tell those bastards that this is the last job that I do for them. And I expect a extremely high pay upon completion of the job. My body is already in critical condition from all the stress and this will only add to that.

Lahar: I'll let them know. Be careful out there Delta.

With that being said, leaves the bathroom and groups up with everyone once again. Unbeknownst to him, someone had eavesdropped on his conversation with Lahar and decided to keep it to themselves for now. Suddenly, the sound of civilians screaming can be heard as the mages all run outside. Delta looks in the opposite direction of where they are heading and sees....
